Scouting

The day was here, their scouting mission into Marley was going to commence. After the pleasurable day before Ari woke up and got on his suit. He made sure he had everything ready for this pivotal day. He was soon joined downstairs by Historia and Talia, Historia cooked up some breakfast while Ari and Talia sat at the table. Despite the fact she went to bed early Talia looked tired and yawned and rubbed her eyes.

Ari: Everything ok, sweetheart?

Talia: Yeah *yawn* I just wish you and mommy would practice hand to hand outside or just somewhere else when I'm sleeping.

Ari looked behind him at Historia who was in the kitchen and they were both confused.

Ari: What are you talking about, sweetie?

Talia: Well I heard you and mommy practicing wrestling together in your bedroom.

Ari and Historia's eyes shot open for a second as they realized what she was talking about.

Ari: Ummm.....

Talia: It's ok though, I know it's important for you both to stay sharp.

Historia came around and placed pancakes on everyone's plate and sat down and began to eat with everyone, the two parents still didn't know what to do.

Talia: And from what I heard dad won the sparr.

Ari: I did win, yes.

Historia jammed him in his ribs when Talia wasn't looking and Ari gave her an apologetic look.

Talia: So daddy, when will you be back? You didn't forget your promise right?

Ari: Few days at most, and no I didn't I'll teach you to be sneaky.

Talia: And the crossbow story, don't forget!

Ari: I won't, I won't.

Talia: Yes!

A little bit later as the family was out on their porch Hange, Levi, Mikasa, Eren, and Armin arrived on their horses all dressed in suits or casual clothing. All the rest of the recon team was at the port. Everyone but Levi dismounted and smiled when they saw Ari, Historia and Talia. Talia leapt up from her seat and ran right at the group with a big smile.

Talia: Aunt Hange!

Hange scooped her up and gave her a big hug.

Hange: Talia! So good to see you!

Talia then moved on to everyone else who greeted her very warmly and happily as Hange made her way to Ari and Historia. Ari stood up knowing it was time to go and Hange pulled out a scrolled up piece of paper that had the mission details on it. Hange gave it to Historia who still needed to sign off on it to give it the final approval. She did and then nodded.

Historia: Good luck, Commander Hange. I'll want a full report when you get back.

Hange: Thank you, your grace. I'll be eager to share the details.

Ari then kissed his wife goodbye for the last time and headed over to his horse on the way he hugged Talia goodbye as well.

Talia: Goodbye daddy, have fun, and good luck.

Ari: Thanks, honey. Stay out of trouble while I'm gone.

As they all got on their horses Talia stayed close by and Mikasa got Ari's attention.

Mikasa: Talia just asked me if I would teach her to fight.

Eren: She asked me if I would teach her to use ODM gear.

Armin: And me If I would teach her about titans.

Everyone laughed a little but Talia looked betrayed that they told her father that.
