Two years later

    After a very long and incredibly brutal training, graduation day had finally arrived. Shadis congratulated all of them and gave extra praise to the top 10 who would get the privilege of joining the MPs if they wanted to.

Now everyone sat in the mess hall in Trost, with their training now over they would soon be picking what regiment they would be joining, but until then they would be put to work in Trost. Historia had surprised everyone with how high she ranked, but thanks to a lot of help from Ari she managed to rank higher than even Jean. Also during training Ari had built up a very good friendship with Andrew and Katlynn. Ari, Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Christa, Andrew and Katelynn all sat together as everyone was eating. Each of them wondered who would join which regiment and simultaneously celebrate their graduation and placement. Christa in particular was very proud of her placement.

Christa: Number 6 baby Wo-Ho! I can't believe it!

Ari: I sure can, you put in a lot of hard work.

Eren: More like you put in a lot of hard work, Ari. I mean you were practically a trainer to her more than Shadis.

Ari smirked and just shrugged.

Ari: Well she wouldn't stop bugging me. What was I gonna do? Tell my girlfriend no?

That earned him a small jab in the side from Christa via her elbow. He laughed it off with her.

Andrew: I could have used more of that help tbh.

Katelynn: Eh, I think we did good honestly, I bet we were 11th or 12th.

Armin: So have you decided what branch you're gonna join.

Ari: Yep, the Scouts.

Christa dropped her fork and it clanged against the plate a little.

Christa: Wait what? But you were in the top 10, you were number 1. Why not join the MPs and have an easy life? Couldn't you do everything you wanted there?

Ari: I don't want an easy life, plus I want to see the world.

Christa: But you could die.

Ari nodded, he understood exactly where she was coming from. He remembered the conversation he had with his dad just one day before he was killed.

Ari: I know, but it's the decision I've made. And I feel as though it's my duty

The short blonde girl took in a breath, she realized Ari had made up his mind.

Christa: Ok, well I'm joining too.

This time it was Ari's turn to be shocked and scared at the premise of their loved one in titan territory.

Christa put her finger on the brown haired young man's lips preventing him from saying anything. She had a look of determination and relentlessness on her face as she took away her finger.
