CHAPTER 33

SUNGHOONS POV

Sunghoon just got out from practice. He's been diligently going in the rink the whole week since he had a competition coming up on Friday. As he was leaving the sports center, he grabbed his phone from his pocket to check his notifications.

Sunghoon and Wonyoung haven't talked since leaving the homecoming dance. It's been a couple of days since they've spoken to each other. Wonyoung wasn't responding to his calls or texts.

She never gave him a straight answer since they were yet again interrupted that night. Sunghoon decided to leave right after to give her space.

He sighed and talked over to the library to study for a little bit. He then spots Sunoo talking and laughing with a group of people. Sunghoon quickly scanned the group and didn't see Wonyoung with them. He decided to approach Sunoo to see is there was any updates on her.

Sunghoon walks up to Sunoo. "Hey, Sunoo."

Sunoo turns around to see who greeted him. "Oh hey, Sunghoon. What's up?" He replied back. He quickly waves goodbye to his friends before turning back around to face Sunghoon.

"I was just wondering if you heard from Wonyoung at all." Sunghoon asked.

Sunoo pursed his lips and shook his head. "No, I haven't. She's been MIA lately actually." He confessed.

"Oh, damn." Sunghoon replied like he doesn't know what's going on.

"Are you headed inside too?" Sunoo asked him, pointing to the library.

"Yeah, actually. You too?" Sunghoon asked.

"Yeah, I was gonna study for a little." Sunoo said.

"C'mon let's get a study room, Jay is meeting me here too." He said before the two walked inside the building.

Sunghoon went to the ipads and reserved a study room for 3 hours. They made their way to the designated room and began studying. Sunghoon haven't really got the chance to know Sunoo that well but Wonyoung and him have been really close since the semester started.

Sunoo reached him his bag and pulled out two breakfast bars and handed Sunghoon one. "Here take one." Sunoo beamed a smile at him.

Sunghoon takes the bar from him. "Thanks." He said before opening it. One thing was for sure, Sunoo seemed like a nice guy.

It didn't take long for Jay to show up. He knocked at the door to catch their attention without startling them. He enters after they acknowledged him.

"Yo." Jay said putting his bag down right next to Sunghoon.

"Hey." They both watched Jay sit down.

"Jake said he wanted to meet up for lunch if y'all are down." Jay said looking at his phone.

EUNCHAE'S POV

Eunchae made it to campus pretty early since she had a study session with the academic team. She had a pretty good week. Even her parents can tell since she's extra smiley these days. She had her headphone as she was walking through campus. She suddenly felt an arm around her shoulders. She looked to her side and took off an AirPod.

"Morning." Niki said to her with a smile.

"Hey, gmornin." She greeted back. She turned her music off to give him her full attention.

Niki put his other hand in his pocket. "You're here pretty early." He said.

"Yeah, I have the academic team competition later this afternoon. Are you coming to watch me?" She asked at looking up at him.

"Hmmm, I have practice later. I probably can't make it." He said in a story tone.

Eunchae was a bit sad but she understood. "Sad, oh well." She said brushing it off.

"I can meet you after practice is that's okay?" He said trying to make her feel better.

Eunchae nodded and held his hand over by her shoulder.

"Want me to walk you to class?" Niki asks her.

"Duh." She responded before laughing.

WONYOUNGS POV

Wonyoung ended up skipping her morning class today. She stayed in bed pretty late until she decided to get ready. Wonyoung knew that she wanted to be with Sunghoon but she was a bit conflicted in how it went down. She wanted to clear her head before talking to him.

She got up and started to get ready. She went down stairs to an empty living room, her parents must've already went to work. She grabbed a bottle of juice before heading out to her second afternoon class.

She drove herself to campus today, she parks her car in one of the garages closest to her class. Wonyoung was feeling a little hungry and decided to swing by the dinning hall to get something quick to eat.

She enters the dinning hall and sees Sunghoon with boys. Both of them made eye contacts. Sunoo noticed her, he stood up and waved her over telling her to come over. Wonyoung got a little nervous and acted rash, she quickly turned around and left.

Sunghoon was quick to stand up and follow her, leaving everyone at the table. He ran to catch up to her.

"Wonyoung." Sunghoon called her to get her attention.

She turned around to see Sunghoon. There's no point of ignoring this so she stopped walking away.

Sunghoon walked up to where she stood. He didn't know what to say for a moment. "You haven't responded to my texts." He managed to get out.

"Sunghoon, I don't know what to say." She said to him.

"I know, I'm really sorry." He took her hands. "How about we take it slow? I'm still figuring it out but I do know I like you." He said looking into her eyes.

Wonyoung blushed. Isn't this what she always wanted? There was no doubt she still liked him. She squeezed his hand back. "Okay."

NIKI'S POV

Niki was in a hurry to leave practice as soon as it ended. He wanted to make it to the academic team competition or at least half of it. He wanted to be supportive and show up for Eunchae.

He ran out of the posits building and made a quick trip to the school's gift shop and purchased her some flowers and made a b line to the auditorium where the computing was held.

Niki quietly entered as the audience suddenly gave the students a round of applause. He assumed it came to an end. He looked at the stage and spotted Eunchae shaking hands students from the other team.

Eunchae spots Niki at the back of the room and they both my eye contact. He waved to her. She smiled from ear to ear and quickly made her was out of the stage and ran up to hug him.

"You made it!" She said in excitement.

"Sorry, I just got here. But I got you this." He said hugging her back with the one free hand and handed her the flowers. "Did you guys win?"

"I don't care, you're here." She took the flowers from him. "Thank you, as duuuhhh!." She said slightly blushing.

They both looked at each other and as Niki slowly leans in for a kiss but was quickly interrupted by Eunchae's team mates and calls her. "Eunchae!"

Both of them turns their heads in surprise.

"Are you going out to eat with us?" Her team mate asked.

"I can't today, I have a date." She said looking back at Niki and smiled.
