CHAPTER 52

SULLYOON'S POV

Sullyoon was doing her face care routine for the night while tidying her bed in between while waiting for each step to dry on her face.

She sighed and sat on the edge of her bed. Everything was back to normal. Or at least as normal as it could get.

She could finally go to New York as planned. But one thing was keeping her from booking her tickets.

Sullyoon couldn't help but think of Jungwon. She told him her plans earlier this afternoon, but she was expecting more of him. She picks up her probe from her bedside table and opened up her message app. She tapped on Jungwon's name but hesitated to text.

What was she gonna say? She felt nervous. Sully wasn't the best person to Jungwon at first, does she even have the right to feel something towards him?

She stopped worrying and tapped the call button. After three rings, she panics and tried to hang up but of course, Jungwon picks up.

"Yoi, Sullyoon?" He answered.

"Hey." Sullyoon said, not knowing what to say.

"It's late, how are you not asleep yet?" Jungwon asked.

"I should be asking you the same." Sullyoon said as she laid down in her bed.

"Ah, I had some homework I had to finish up. I'm done now tho. I'm probably going to play some video games now." He said as she heard papers shuffling in the background of the phone call. "And you?" He reflected the question again.

"I just can't sleep." She simply said.

"I can put you to sleep." He said in a suggestive way, joking around." Jungwon chuckled.

"Shut up." Sullyoon said rolling her eyes at his comment.

"Aha, won't you miss me." Jungwon said opening up the conversation again.

"Miss you?" Sullyoon said in confusion.

"New York." Jungwon said plainly.

"Oh yeah." Sullyoon stayed quiet for a sec. It was starting to sound all too real, this made her a little sad. "why don't you stop me?" She said , accidentally slipping out what she was thinking.

Jungwon was a bit taken back at what she said, but he wanted to be careful on what he said next. "Who am I to stop you from what you want to do." He replied.

Sullyoon was stumped again. She was nervous again. A part of her was screaming to say what she wanted.

"You're right." She simply said without another word.

Jungwon was confused. Was that it? "Sorry did I say something wrong?" He asked her as he may have missed something.

"Yeah, I want you to stop me." Sullyoon said, this time without any hesitation.

"Why?" Jungwon asked to confirm.

"Because I like you, Jungwon." She breathed through the phone. It was quiet again. "Well?! Say something?" She said in a slightly irritated tone.

She just heard him laugh in the background. "I like you too, Sullyoon."

SUNOO'S POV

It was the next day on campus as Sunoo was walking to his first class. This weekend was incredibly uneventful, besides the new uncharted territory of feelings he's felt.

As he was walking, he sees Wonyoung ahead. A rush of panic came over Sunoo. He didn't know why but he felt the need to avoid her.

"Sunoo!" Wonyoung calls him and waves him down. The both of them had the same class today, too.
