LATE NITE

CHAPTPER 12

JAY'S POV

Jay hurried out of his last class. He entered Hanni's number on his phone fore the pen smudged off his hand. Jay didn't hesitate to say he wasn't busy to take her out that night. Suddenly his phone rings, Jake was calling him.

"Yo." Jay answered the phone.

"Aye, you want me to pick you up tonight for the dinner party?" Jake asked him.

"Ah fuck, I forgot that was tonight. I can't go. I have plans." Jay said walking to his car.

"Damn. I only wanted to go because the food slapped." Jake responded.

"Yeahhhh, you can just with Sunghoon." Jay said.

"Orrr maybe he'll want to hang out." Jake said trying to bail on the dinner. "Okay I'll call him."

"You do that, later man." Jay said before hanging up.

HANNI'S POV

Hanni went back to the dorms to study. She was sitting on top of her bed with her laptop open. She sighs and lays down giving up for the day. Today was especially mentally draining. She mad more classes on Tuesdays so she felt like she's been studying and on the move all day.

Minji gets out of the bathroom drying her hair. Minji sat down infront of her desk and started putting her make up on. Hanni looked at her in confusion. Hanni looks at the time on her laptop, it was 10:30pm. "Why are you getting ready this late?" Hanni asked her roommate.

Minji kept her eyes on her mirror, putting on her moisturizer. "I have date tonight." She answered.

"This late?" Hanni asked back raising an eyebrow.

"Wellll, it's more of a dick appointment to be honest. I'll probably won't come back until tomorrow " She explained.

Hanni sat up and sighed. "Ugh, at least you have plans. I feel so drained from school work already!" She grabbed a stuffed animal and hugged it.

"You should've got that cute guy's number at the party." Minji told her as she stood up to pick out something to wear. Minji goes to the bathroom to change her clothes.

"I should've, huh?" Hanni said before laying back down.

Hanni stared at the ceiling in boredom. She didn't want to get back on her studying just yet. She was procrastinating a little. Suddenly, her phone started vibrating. Without moving too much, she reached for her phone to look who's the call from. It was an unknown number.

She answered without thinking much of it. "Hello?"

"Is this Hanni?" A low voice came from the other line.

"This is she? Are you a murderer?" She asked still staring at the ceiling she hears a laugh from him.

"It's Jay." He finally introduced himself. "You still down to hang out?"

"I wished you called a little earlier, it's kind of late." Hanni said.

"It's only 10 what you mean." Jay said half joking. "We can still grab something eat.

"Hmmm only if you're buying." Hanni joked back.

"I can pick you up in 15 mins? Is that good?" Jay asked.

"Yeah. I'm in the dorms. I'll send you my location." Hanni sat up once again.

"Okay, cool. I'll see you in a bit." Jay say before hanging up.

"Kay, bye." Hanni said hanging up.

Minji comes out from the bathroom all dressed and ready to go. "Is this cute?"
