Chapter 58
JAKE'S POV
It's been a couple of weeks since his breakup with Haewon and being sad about the whole thing was an understatement. Jake's been brokenhearted, everyone around him can tell. He still tried to be his outgoing self but it really did show that he was still upset about the whole thing.
Some of his friends would even tell him that the relationship wasn't even that long for him to be sad about. Which would only make him angry and go non verbal for the rest of the day/practice.
Jay, sunghoon and Heeseung were over his house today in hopes of possibly cheering him up. It's been a minute since they've all hung out and they think this would be a good opportunity to get Jake out of the house for once.
"Cmon, Jake. You haven't gone out in a min." Heeseung started as he leaned on the kitchen island parallel to Jake.
Sunghoon picked up one of the apples on the counter. "Yeah, it'll be good for all of us. There a bunch of parties going on right now too." He said before taking a bite.
"We better go out, I had to leave my girlfriend tonight because of yall." Jay said while tapping away on his phone as he played a game.
Heeseung punched his arm as Jay mentioned the word girlfriend.
"Ow" jay yelled darting a glare at heeseung for hitting him.
Heeseung gave him a wtf look as Jay just shrugged it off.
Sunghoon looked away from the two and back to Jake who was just petting his dog.
"You should come out." Sunghoon said to Jake as the other two bickered in the background.
Jake looks at Sunghoon and thought about it for a second. He usually loved showing out at the parties but he wasn't in the mood at all. But this coming from Sunghoon felt like should.
"Yeah. It'll help you take your mind off things. If you know what I mean." Heeseung said suggestively.
Jay raised an eyebrow. "Since when did you and Jake switch personalities?" He question.
"Look all I know if that it's always fun when Jake's out." Heeseung threw his hands in the air.
"Fine I'll go." Jake finally spoke. "But I'm picking the party.
The boys waited for Jake to get ready then finally headed out to the part, of Jake's choice of course. When he thought about it, it's really been a while since he's gone to a party. While being with Haewon, his weekend would just consist of her since that what the most free time she got in the week. And usually just Jake hanging around her while she did her chores.
This made Jake think of her again but tried to shake it off. He was met by a couple of frat guys dapping him up and handing him shots.
It was social hour. With him missing out on all of the parties, means that he had to catch up with everyone. Jake was an extrovert after all. This lead to a couple drink, shots, and everything in between to intoxicate him. He got so drunk in the last hour and a half he was there that he all of a sudden he found himself in the bathroom kissing a random girl.
Everything happened too fast. He just took a shot and now he's here with a stranger. "Is this really how I am before?" He asked himself. He broke the kiss and rubbed his eyes trying to gather himself.
He thought of the party where Haewon walked in on him in this same scenario the first time she ever appeared in a social event. And how he wouldn't want her to walk in on him now.
"Sorry. I should head back." Jake said to the girl not even giving her time to respond. He swiftly exited the bathroom and walked up to Sunghoon. "Yo, I'm kinda fucked up, I'm gonna call an Uber." Jake said taking his phone out.
