CHAPTER 48

HAEWON'S POV

Haewon was in office space doing some TA work since everyone was out except for her. The weekend was crazy for her and who knew she would end up having a boyfriend, and the most popular one in school at that.

She was making some copies at the copy machine as she over heard a group of girls a few feet away from her from some sorority.

"Girl get a grip, Jake ghosted you weeks ago" One girl said.

"I'm not worried, he'll probably slide through soon." Another replied.

"Yeah right, he's probably on to the next." Someone continued.

"I wouldn't doubt it." They all laughed.

Haewon felt a bit uneasy, but she didn't want to be swayed what everyone said. She already talked to Jake about his little reputation and she wants to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it was hard when you hear stuff like this.

She didn't want people to look at her a certain way since she was student counsel president, the last thing she wanted was for people to think she's getting played by Jake Sim.

JAKE'S POV

*text*
Heeseung: you trying to go out tonight?
Jake: nahhhh, busy bro.
Heeseung: ?? Ok

Jake's class just ended. He was pretty much in a good mood all weekend since Haewon agreed to date him. He started heading to office space where he thought she might be.

He reaches the room and walks in. He was happy to see her by the printers. Jake walked over and stood behind her. He puts his hands over her eyes catching her by surprise. Haewon jumps as she heard his familiar laugh.

Jake takes his hands off as she turned around to face him. "Working hard?" He says before going in for a kiss.

Haewon nervously dodges his attempt. ".. yeah." She looked around if anyone saw them. "Are you done with class?" She said looking back at him.

Jake was caught off guard but shook it off. "Hah, yeah. It was my last class for today." He said with a slight smile.

"Oh." Haewon said as she gave out a faint smile.

An awkward silence grew between them before Jake started back up. "So are we still studying at your house later?" He asked.

"Um, yeah, sure." She said in a quieter tone hoping no one would hear her.

"Okay, I'll see you later then." As he quickly stole a kiss on her cheek before running out.

"Jake!" She said as she watch him run away. She looks around again a bit conscious of her surroundings. She shakes it off but blushes at the thought of him.

It was now the end of the day for Haewon as she exited the school. She receives a text from Jake's saying he's up front to pick her up. She just smiles at her phone and heads to the front of school.

Jake drives away to her head to her apartment as soon as Haewon got into the car. It didn't take long for them to reach her apartment. Jake parks the car and the turns to haewon.

Haewon raised an eyebrow as Jake stared at her. "What?" She asked.

"Why were you acting so weird at office space earlier?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" Haewon tried to act oblivious to his question.

"I mean, you looked pretty on edge earlier." Jake elaborated. "Please tell me if something is bothering you." He continued.
