AFTER MATH

CHAPTER 9

EUNCHAE'S POV

The valet pulled Eunchae's car upfront. Niki helped her get into the passenger seat before taking the keys from valet and driving Eunchae home. The car ride was a little quiet. You can hear the radio in the background in a very low volume.

Eunchae had her head leaning on the passenger window glass. She kept replaying what Niki had said to her in the bathroom back at the party. Her head hurt a little. "How fucking embarrassing" she thought to herself. Not only did she fuck up her first party, but now unexpected shit happens between her and Niki.

The two have been friends since they were in elementary school. Eunchae was just a whole lot of confused now. Did she see Niki as more than a best friend? What was that energy she felt back there? It all just hurt her head at the moment because of the alcohol.

"Eunchae?" Niki broke the silence first.

She was startled out of her deep thoughts tor a second. Her head turned to face him at the driver seat.

Niki kept his eyes on the road. "Forget about what I said back there." Niki said keeping his gaze straight ahead. "I was just a little buzzed on the alcohol." He explained.

Eunchae was dumbfounded. "Oh.." that was all she could get out at the moment, but her mind was going crazy.

They finally pulled up to the Hong manor. Niki parks her car upfront and gets out of the car to help her out from the passenger seat.

"Just take my car home. You probably need to get Jungwon at some point later." Eunchae told Niki.

"Yeah okay." He didn't say anything else. Niki watched as she walk into her house and waved to each other goodbye. "Fuck." He said under his breath. He took his phone out to call Jungwon.

WONYOUNG'S POV

Sunghoon pulled up to Wonyoung house. Wonyoung was a little mad at herself for causing a scene back at the party.

"Thanks for taking me home." Wonyoung thanked him again.

"It's okay, we're not strangers." Sunghoon replied.

Wonyoung sighed. "I know, it's just." She paused in frustration. "I just wanted for you guys to see I've grown up. I feel like I'm always burdening you guys." She crossed her arms and pouted.

Sunghoon chuckled at her statement. "You're always going to be a baby, it's just who you are." He said teasing her a little.

"Hey! I've grown." She tried to argue.

"Yeah. I'm just joking. Don't be too much of a rush though. We're still going to be here for you." He said looking into her eyes.

Wonyoung was speechless. In her ears she heard "I'm still going to be there for you."

"I'll see you tomorrow?" Sunghoon said snapping her back to reality.

"Uh yeah! Thanks." She said again. She gets out of the car and watched him drive away.

SULLYOON'S POV

Sullyoon wakes up next to Jungwon who was peacefully sleeping. She hurried and grabbed her phone to check the time. It was 3:48 am. It sounded like there's still some people downstairs.

She slips out of the bed and quickly put on her clothes. She looked in her front facing camera and fixed her face and her hair. She couldn't believe she just done that. This was the first time she's done something so rebellious. The adrenaline hit her as she thought about it again.

She looks over to Jungwon who was still heavily sleeping. Sullyoon just gave him more blanket before carefully leaving the room. She called ordered an Uber and proceeded to go downstairs to leave.
