CHAPTER 20
SUNGHOONXWONYOUNG
WONYOUNG'S POV
Wonyoung just got home from from hanging out with Sunoo all day. She quickly went up to her room and changed to something more comfortable. Today was a good distraction from how sad she was earlier, but now that she's alone again, she couldn't help and think about Sunghoon again.
She sat on her bed and replayed what happened the night before. She couldn't help but feel a little insecure. Was she not pretty enough? Was she too childish? Wonyoung wished she knew why.
She sighed and got up to get her phone from her purse. As she was digging in her bag, she felt the piece of paper that Hyunjin gave her. She stared at it for a second. Hyunjin was really cute and it was kind of obvious that he showed interest in her earlier as Sunoo hinted.
Wonyoung felt like it was a bit unfair to start talking to someone else since she was still broken hearted from Sunghoon. But she needed to stop thinking about him so she could move on. Wonyoung found her phone and typed in Hyunjin's number.

Wonyoung: Hey-NEXT DAY-
SUNGHOON'S POV
Sunghoon was on the way to his to his last class of the week. He felt somewhat exhausted already for the first week of school. There were more parties going on since the week was ending but he decided not to participate.
As he was walking, he saw both Sunoo and Wonyoung walking his way. He couldn't help but feel a little awkward. But. He still approached them since he didn't want any bad blood. He also didn't want to avoid Wonyoung since he didn't want to throw their friendship away.
"Morning." Sunghoon stops and raises his hand to greet the both of them.
"Good morning." Sunoo greeted back in his usual cheerful tone.
Wonyoung tried to smile but couldn't get herself to do it.
Sunoo laughed nervously as he felt the tension between the two. "Heh, you have class this early too?" Sunoo said to start the conversation flowing.
Sunghoon's eyes went from staring at Wonyoung to Sunoo as he answered his question. "Yeah, I only have the one class today."
"So you're done for the week." Sunoo added.
Wonyoung was still standing with Sunoo and looking at her nails to avoid eye contact.
"Mhm. Thank god." Sunghoon said as he stole glances at Wonyoung.
Out of nowhere, Hyunjin walks over to the group and greets all of them. "Hey, morning." He said.
All three look at Hyunjin walk up to them. Sunghoon daps him up as Sunoo and Wonyoung wave to him.
"How are you doing, man?" Hyunjin asks Sunghoon. They've known each other since last semester.
"Good, good." Sunghoon responded.
Hyunjin smiles then turns his head to Wonyoung. "Hey sorry I didn't get to reply last night, I was already in bed by then." He explained.
Wonyoung's eye widen since he just announced to everyone that she texted him. "Ah, no you're good." She said waiving her hands.
"I needed to ask you something anyway. I was gonna ask if you wanted to run for Homecoming Royals with me." Hyunjin asked Wonyoung.
The tension was now even more weird. Sunghoon got the same feeling he did at the party. He was also confused how they knew each other. He knew Wonyoung was popular but he didn't really understand to what extent. He the. Shook off all these thoughts realizing he just rejected her the two night ago. He has no right to feel some type of way.
Sunoo just smiles through the awkwardness.
Wonyoung looks over to Sunghoon then at Hyunjin. "Yeah! Actually I would love to!" She decided to play it up to show Sunghoon she's moving on.
"Perfect, can we possibly talk more about it later? I can buy us coffee." Hyunjin asks.
"Sure, I'm down." Wonyoung smiles at him.
Sunghoon kept the same expression. "I should head to class. I'll see y'all later." He said before abruptly walking away from the group.
Hyunjin then starts a conversation with Sunoo. Their conversation then get muffled as Wonyoung looked back to see Sunghoon walk away.
"Right Wonyoung?" Sunoo asks bringing her back in the conversation.
She puts her attention back to the group. "Mm yeah." She said in response not knowing what she agreed to. She was still thinking of Sunghoon.
Sunghoon kept walking until he hear his phone ring. It was Jake texting him.
