CHAPTER 49

YUNJIN'S POV

Heeseung had walked away from Yunjin and helped Jay. Yunjin gave just followed him as he went and separated his friend from the fight. As the crowd diffused, a girl went over to heeseung and stared to flirt with him.

Heeseung and Yunjin made a quick eye contact. You can see there was anger in his eyes. He grabs the girl and went in for a kiss.

Yunjin was shocked even though she had no right to be, they weren't together. She took a deep breath and walked out of the bar. As soon as she was far enough, she let her tears fall.

She walked far enough from the bar to bridge near by. Yunjin stopped to catch up with her feelings. She knew it was her fault for starting something she couldn't finish.

She guessed there was a part of her that wanted to hold on to Heeseung, but she knew it was going to be short lived.

Yunjin was only staying for a year. She didn't want to leave Heeseung again. It was better off him hating her than keep leading her on.

The breeze blew past her. She took out her phone to call herself and Uber back home, it was time to end the night.

Heeseung looked up to see she had already gone. He came to his senses and just realized what he did. "Shit." He said under his breath.

The girl was still clinging into him as his friends pressured him to drink some. Heeseung was broke hearted yet again to the hands of Huh Yunjin. He grabbed a shot and kept drinking.

HANNI'S POV

Hanni helped wipe the blood near Jay's mouth. He flinched as she carefully tried to go around the wound. Hanni was here again, with him. She would've never thought the night would end like this. Jay was still tipsy as he was trying to keep himself straight.

"Can you stay still?!" Hanni said with frustration as she grabbed his chin aggressively to face her.

"OW!" Jay yelped out but let her do as she pleased.

Hanni's eyebrows were furrowed as she focused on cleaning his wound. "See, I wouldn't have to do this if you didn't start a fight." She said as she stood up and threw the wet wipe away.

Jay just stayed quiet. His sober self was screaming inside of him to say the right things, but right now he wasn't in the right mind.

"I'll call you a cab." Hanni said as she rummaged through her purse. She just wanted to get the night over with.

Jay's eyes widened as he realized she was sending him home. "Come home with me!" He said in a panic. He realized how stupid he sounded.

Hanni looked at him in disbelief. "Come home with you?" She repeated. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. He already fought someone at the bar, and he expects her to come with him.

"No, uhm that's not what I meant, I mean.. I don't think I can make it back by myself." He said truthfully. "I'll pay for your way back." Jay added.

Hanni looked at him and thought for a second. She couldn't believe she was about to give in to him again. Is this toxic? She thought to herself.

She walks over to him and puts him arm over her shoulders and try to help him up as she calls a cab. "Just helping you out." She set a boundary for herself.

SUNOO'S POV

Sunoo decided to study late tonight at club library since he wanted to catch up on his studies. It's also confident since he lived at the dorms.

He decided to sit this night out from going out since he wasn't really feeling it, plus Wonyoung was still out of town so he rather stayed in.

Sunoo thought of Wonyoung randomly. He got anxious since when he thinks of her, he immediately thought of Sunghoon. His heart felt heavy all of a sudden. "What the hell, Sunoo?" He thought to himself.

The moment replayed in his head over and over again. He tried to shake it off but it kept coming. This was his best friend's boyfriend he was thinking about.

Sunoo shook his head from all these thoughts and closed his book. It was enough studying for the night. He packed all of his stuff and left the library.

As he was walking out of the Library, he coincidentally sees Sunghoon walking his way with his gym bag in hand. The who made eye contact, making Sunoo freeze at his spot.

With his stoic expression as always Sunghoon walks over and greets him like nothing ever happened.

"Hey, Sunoo." Sunghoon said to him.

"Uhm.. hi." Sunoo said trying not to act so weird.

"Sunoo, listen. Sorry I weirded you out  earlier today. I don't know what got into me. I was a bit tired and stressed. I hope we can all just forget about it." He said apologetically.

Sunoo just nodded in response. "It's okay, I understand" he lied and forced a smile.

"Eeeppppppp"

They both turned to look over the familiar squeal. It was Wonyoung running up to both of them. She runs up to Sunghoon and gives him a big hug.

"My two favorite person are here!" She said with a wide smile.

"Wonyoung! You're back so soon!" Sunoo said in genuine excitement.

"Yeah I saw Sunghoon's location. And y'all are both here." She said smiling at both of them.

"Did you just finish practice?" Wonyoung turned to Sunghoon.

Sunghoon gave her a smile back and nodded.

"I missed you!" She said before giving him a kiss.

Sunoo just smiled awkwardly. He felt his heart sink. "What is this feeling?" He thought to himself.

-NEXT MORNING-

JAY'S POV

Jay abruptly woke up in his bed. He was wearing different clothes from last night. He felt soreness from the corner of his mouth as he felt his wound. A rush if memories came over him as he remembered what happened last night.

He quickly got up from bed to check on Hanni. The living room was empty. He thought Hanni must've left after helping him make it home, but then he sees a pair of her shoes near the door.

Jay looked around even more and found her passed out on the couch. He grabbed a blanket in his room and put it over her. He sits next to her and looks at her for a second. "Sorry Hanni." He says softly.

He was so embarrassed that he made a fool of himself infront of her. Even worse, putting her through this and making her take him home.

Hanni scrunched her nose before yawning. She slowly started to wake up. "Jay?" He said still a bit groggy. "You're up?"

"I'm so sorry, Hanni." Jay repeated for her to hear.

Hanni just looked at him. "For punching someone last night?"

"Yes an-" Jay started.

"And embarrassing me?"

"Hann-" he got interrupted again.

"For acting like a crazy drunk last night? You're crazy Jay. But maybe I am too because even all that I ended up at your place again." She vented. She just shook her head and looked down.

"... I really like you Hanni, I'm doing stupid things. I swear I've never done anything like that before, for anyone. But I'll do it again for you." Jay argued back.

Hanni just looked at him. "This is a lot."

"Then I'll slow it down, I'll give you space. I'll give you anything you want. I'll do anything you want." he reached for her hands. "Just say give us a chance."
