HANNI'S POV
Hanni, Minji, and Yunjin pulled up to the party all together. It just so happens that they all share one class together and got pretty close. All three came from the game and was invited to the after party through text.
Minji ended up driving since the two didn't have their cars yet. They came just in time when the party started raving. The party was taking place at the one and only soccer team captain, Yeonjun's frat house. He was part of the Τ Ξ T (Tau Xi Tau ) fraternity.
All three of them walked in together and was offered drinks at the door. They saw as the team scrolled each other with dark liquor. They were all pretty pumped about winning.
"Let's go take pictures!" Minji suggested to the both of them.
"Yeah let's go over to that side." Hanni replied back as all three of them held hands and pushed through the crowd.
"Ugh, I wish I would've worn something cuter." Yunjin said to the two.
"What do you mean? You look really good." Hanni said to Yunjin.
"Guys come closer." Minji tried to yell over the crowd as she posed with them for a selfie.
JAY'S POV
Jay and Sunghoon waited at the parking lot after the game ended. They wanted to avoid the crowd so they hurried to the car. They texted Jake to meet them at the parking lot to congratulate him on his first game. Jake shortly came after getting ready and got into Jay's car.
"Yooo! I knew u guys would win." Sunghoon said to Jake.
"Yeah, congrats on your first win of the season." Jay said before pulling out of the parking lot.
"Yeah, it was close but had to beat their asses, ya know." Jake says confidently.
"We goin straight there or you need to change?" Jay asked Jake.
"I showered real quick before coming out, imma change at the Yeonjun's." Jake said as he took his phone out to for thank the people who congratulated him through text.
Jay proceeded to drive to the location. This being their second year, he is familiar where it would be. They spent all their first two semesters partying every weekend. Jay thought this would be the year they would calm down a bit but that doesn't seem to be the case.
They finally reach the frat house and the place was already pack. They parked and walked through the doors they were met with the crowd shaking and hyping up Jake as he made the winning pass.
Soobin handed the three of beers. This party was way more buzzing than the last since they had something to celebrate. You see the guys hyping Yeonjun to shot gun with Beomgyu, Teahyun supervising.
"Damn, this shit started early, all boutta get fucked up." Jay said to the guys.
Sunghoon took a sip of the beer. "Yeah especially you." He said pointing to Jake.
Jake laughed. "Hell fuck yeah!"
Yeonjun was already buzzed and made his way to their circle. "YOU!" Yeonjun shouted and pointed at Jake as he walked towards him. He put his arm around Jake. "You're not allowed to be sober." He said walking him to where the liquor was. Jake just laughs and follows him as his teammates cheer him on.
Jay just chuckles with his group and took a sip of his beer. By the door something catches his eye. It was Hanni and her friends. Hanni also notices him and they make solid eye contact. Hanni then smiles at him and waves.
Jay stood still and analyzed the situation. Him and Hanni have been hanging out for a week now. He had just told Hanni about his marriage arrangement situation. And seeing how the school is quick to gossip, he didn't want people talking bad about Hanni. With the whole student body being in this party, he couldn't risk it. Jay just slightly smirks at her and took another sip of his drink before looking away.
This made Hanni very confused and a little disappointed. She put her hand down and played it off.
"Hey, are you okay?" Yunjin tapped her shoulder as she noticed she got a bit quiet.
Hanni turns to Yunjin and flashed her a grin. "Yeah, everything's good."
JAKE'S POV
Jake was pulled over to the teams crowd where everyone was taking shots. On the way over there, girls were already trying to grab his attention. He was used to all of this. Usually he liked the attention and the crowd but somehow tonight felt different. Yeonjun, hand him a shot for everyone to take together. Everyone took at as soon as he ended his speech. Jake just set his down at the counter. He didn't feel right.
Jake then tried to yell over the crowd next to Yeonjun's ear. "Bro, I'll be back."
"Don't be gone for too long! We're shotgunning and scrolling Niki when he gets here!" Yeonjun shouts.
On the way back to his circle, a girl tried to pull him over, but he politely declines her. Jake turns around back to Sunghoon, Jay, and Soobin. He walks over and asks Jay a question. "Yo bro, let me borrow your car, I forgot something on campus."
Jay looked confused and raised his eyebrow. "You need me to drive you?" He asked.
"Nah, you get fucked up, I'll pick you guys up when y'all ready." Jake said in reply reassuring him he's fine.
"Aight." Jay didn't question any further since he seemed serious. He dug in his pocket and get Jake the keys to his Porsche.
Jake took the keys and saluted him before taking off. He walked to the parked car and made his way back to school. He makes it to the library where Haewon said she would be at. He hurried out of the car and went inside to look for her. He went upstairs to see Haewon studying by herself at one of the tables.
He sighed in relief that she was still there and walks over to her. "Um, I need a study buddy."
Haewon lifts her head up from her book and was surprised to see Jake infront of her. "Hey, what's are you doing here? Weren't you supposed to be at the party." She asked.
Jake scratched the back of his head. "Yeah but it was kind of lame, I don't feel like shotgunning a bunch a beers tonight. Plus I have some homework due." He lied.
Haewon saw right through it. "Oh yeah? Where your books?" She said raising her eyebrow.
"I can check out a laptop, it's fine." He was quick to make an excuse.
Haewon sighed. "Okay, I guess you can borrow mine." She before going back to her textbook. She gave out a slight smile, enough for Jake to notice.
Jake smiles as she gave in and sat down next to her.
