CHAPTER 44

HAEWON'S POV

Haewon came inside the house with Jake's mom. His mom introduced her to everyone in the living room as Jake walked inside with his brother. Everyone was very welcoming and warm to her.

Haewon thought his family was very close and down to earth in contrary belief since he came from old money. She imagined them being stuck up and very classist but it was quite the opposite. He had a very wholesome family.

Jake was forced to played soccer outside with his younger cousins while she was inside playing trivia with the rest of the family. She enjoyed games like these with her family too so she got comfortable real quick. They both kept making eye contact and Haewon can't help but turn and hide her blushing face.

Dinner was ready and everyone went to the kitchen to grab a plate. Jake came inside and sits next to her on the couch.

"Heh, sorry. My mom tends to insists. As you know from last time." Jake said apologetically.

Haewon turns her head to him and smiles. "No it's okay, I'm having fun." She replied. "I mean more with your family than you but fun." She explained further.

She felt less nervous for their date since it was a family gathering. Jake smiles at her and helps her get up from the couch so they can both grab some food too.

The night came to an end and everyone was saying their goodbyes and getting ready to leave.

"It's always nice having you around Haewon. You can come back, even if Jake's not around." His mom said jokingly.

Haewon giggles. "Thank you so much for always being so welcoming." She said.

"You ready to go?" Jake asked Haewon grabbing keys to a different car this time.

"Yes, let me make sure I have eve-" Haewon said in response trying to make sure everything was in her purse. A slight panic came to mind when she didn't feel her keys in her bag.

"What's up?" Jake asked her as he saw her facial expression change quick.

Haewon looks at Jake. "My keys... I think I left it in your other car." She said feeling bad.

"The one that got towed?" His mom asked.

"I think so." Haewon said nervously.

"Let me look in my brother's car real quick." He said running over to the car to look.

"It's fine honey, you can stay the night here til the tow place opens up tomorrow morning." Jake's mom says to her.

"Is that really okay?" Haewon said trying to make sure she wasn't imposing.

"Of course, we have guest room upstairs. Let me get you something to change into." His mom said before going upstairs.

Jake comes back and walks up to Haewon. "Nope, it wasn't there." He said to her.

Jake's mom comes back with a change of clothes and a towel. "Let me show you upstairs." His mom said.

"Thank you so much for letting me stay for tonight." Haewon said a little embarrassed but thankful.

"You're welcome honey, it's no problem." Jake's mom smiled at her. "Jake show her upstairs."

Jake in surprise looks at his mom. "Oh, yeah ok." He said looking back at Haewon.

He lead the the way upstairs and showed Haewon where she would be staying for the night.

"This night keeps getting crazier and crazier. Sorry about your keys." Jake said to Haewon.
