Jake came home relatively earlier than usual since he ended up ditching the party. He ended his impromptu study date with Haewon a little after midnight and took her home. He could've still swing by the party, but he wasn't really up to it anymore.
Jake ended up going home til Jay texted him to come get them since there wasn't an ounce of alcohol in his body. He walks in the front door and was met with his mom still in the kitchen.
"Hey you, home early?" His mom asked as she stirred her tea.
Jake walked up to him mom and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Yup." He responded. "You're still up?" Jake asked.
"Yeah I just came home from a little get together."she answered him. "Congratulations on your game today. We left as soon as you guys won. Didn't you have an after party?" His mom asked.
Jake walks to the fridge and grabs an apple. "Yeah, I went for a little bit. I have Jay's car out front . I have to pick him up later." He said before taking a bite out of the Apple.
"Ah." She nodded. "Speaking of Jay, I invited everyone for early dinner tomorrow before Homecoming." He said sipping from her cup.
"Everyone?" Jake asked.
"Yeah, Sunghoon, and Wonyoung With their parents as well." She confirmed.
"Ah." He replied shortly.
"Are you bringing a date this year." His mom tried to pry.
"No mom." He said before chuckling.
"I'm starting to think you're not very popular as Jay says." She said jokingly. "I'm just saying, you can date. You've never brought a girl home." She said to him.
"I'm gonna go to the couch and watch TV." He said before walking away.
-TIME SKIP-
SUNGHOON
It was the next day and Sunghoon was getting ready to go to the Sim's household for dinner before the dance. The homecoming dance was optional for all university students, but mandatory for student athletes so show support. He really didn't want to go since he knew that Wonyoung and Hyunjin were running for court but also going to be at dinner tonight at Jake's house.
He finally got done getting ready and head down the stairs to meet his parents so they can all go together. They all drove to the Jake's house all together. Once they got there, they were welcomed in by Jake's mom. She was always very involved with both of her sons, Jake being the youngest.
"Hi, are you all doing?" Jake's mom greeted and kissed Sunghoon's mom on both cheeks. "Come in." She gestured through the door.
Sunghoon went inside to see Jay in the foyer. Jay got up from the couch to greet Sunghoon. Jake shows up with two drinks with his hand.
