Sonadow: Coincidence

Chapter 01: College; inside view

A cold and soft breeze ran through his quills as a sigh of relief escaped him. Sonic was super relieved that he got into the college of his dreams. His green eyes looked at the building in front of him.
The walls were white like a pearl and it made the dark brown of the accents, windows and doors, pop. A large sign that read "Green Hills College" was almost completely covered up with a larger banner that read "Welcome to Green Hills College!".

Sonic couldn't believe it. His life time goal was to get into this college. His dream college ever since he was 12. And now, he was finally in it. He could already see himself at his graduation.

..."Sonic Hedgehog!" The principal said, holding Sonics diploma. His eyes scanned the crowd as he found his mother, brother and sister. All clapped in joy as they saw him walk up the stairs to the stage. He was so proud of himself that after all his hardships, he'd finally achieved his long-term dream...

September being chilly was normal, but Sonic felt shivers down his spine as he heard a loud booming voice roar behind him.
"HEDGEHOG!!" Sonic whipped around, hearing his name. Who was it? Oh, just Knuckles Echidna. He actually has a different first name but he has convinced everyone that his name is Knuckles, so they just roll with it.
"Oh. Hey Knux!" Sonic smiled as he dodged a tackle from the much older and much stronger echidna, who fell to the ground. Out of nowhere, Miles Prower appeared.
"Hiya Sonic."
"Tails! 'Sup dog?"
"Nothing much." They high-five before helping Knuckles up from the dusty ground. They all huddle up in a triangle, arms over each other's shoulders.

The trio looked at each other as they smiled widely.
"I can't believe we all made it." Sonic said honestly. Knuckles looked up and laughed, a cloud of warm air leaving his mouth.
"Why doubt us? When we're together, we can make it through anything!" Knuckles said. Tails chuckled and looked down a bit.
"Hehe, can't argue with that."

The three made their way into the building. Because it was the first day of college, the students were there to get their schedules, books and lists of the rules. That day would be for the students to look around and indulge into their new surroundings. The veteran students had that day off as well, and would walk around or sit with their friends.

In each room there was something special, and Sonic liked the auditorium the best. Not only did it have a large stage, but it also had a large screen on the wall where a film was playing. It was about how the school came to be and it's history. Despite it being boring, Sonic found it interesting.

At the end of the day, the trio and everyone else exited the building. They all were super excited about attending Green Hills College.
"We are going to ROCK those halls!" Knuckles said, fist bumping the the air. Tails nodded and jumped in the air like a child.
"And we'll knock everyone out with our smarts!" Sonic laughed lightly at his friends. His years of college were going to be interesting, but not in the way he would have expected.
