Sonic scrambled to grab his stuff. Was his backpack missing any books? Did he brush his teeth? Was his lunch packed? Questions ran through his head like a train until he realized the time. The clock read 5:59 and school didn't start until 8 sharp. He breathed out a sigh of relief, he still had time for breakfast. He walked down the stairs of his house and to the dining room.

"Good morning little bro." Manic was the first to greet him. The green hedgehog was frying up some eggs. Sonia and their mother followed suit with their greetings.
"Good morning Sonic."
"Good morning sweetheart." Sonic smiled and bid them good morning as well. He grabbed some cereal and milk before grabbing a spoon and bowl. He prepared his cereal in a way where neither Manic nor Sonia could see him so they would argue about wether or not milk or cereal came first.

"Are you excited for college?" Aleena asked her son with a warm smile as she sat down at the table. Sonic smiled before swallowing.
"Yeah, I actually am. I can't wait to see what it would be like to be in college! Sonia's and Manic's descriptions are a bit... Vague?" He said while tilting his head and squinting his eye, not sure if 'vague' was the right description. Aleena giggled at her youngest child and shook her head.
"I'm sure you'll enjoy it."

When he finished his breakfast, Sonic grabbed his coat and scarf. He adjusted himself in the hallway mirror before going out the door, bidding his family goodbye. Right on time, he caught the bus. 7am and he would still have time to get to class early.

In the far back of the bus, Sonic wondered. His classes were picked. What he needed to learn for his future career and all. Would there be some kids that would share every single class with him?
'Maybe', Sonic thought.

He held his breath as he looked at the school building. He was extra early, a whopping 30 minutes to spare. He walked through the booming halls of the large building. The halls weren't that packed yesterday. After twenty minutes of struggling, he finally made it to his first class. Statistics and data science. He picked out a seat, not too far back but not too close to the front. Perfectly in the middle, like he always liked it.

He situated himself; pencil case, books and anything else he'd possibly need. He took a breather as the teacher entered the class and began to write on the white board.

Suddenly, someone sat next to Sonic. He hadn't noticed him before. It was a hedgehog just like him, only a bit different. His quills were black with red stripes. His muzzle was a slight bit darker in color. He wore a black leather jacket that motorcyclist wore a lot and a gray-ish-tan scarf was around his neck.
But the most iconic feature of his were his eyes.

Sonic couldn't help but look at those red eyes. Those red beautiful eyes.

Either way, Sonic knew it was rude to stare, but he couldn't help but steal a few glances, even if they were from the side.
'Now that's what I call a pretty stranger', Sonic thought to himself.

Before he knew it, class had started.
