The snow had finally melted away. The two hedgehogs were on their way to Robo-Corp to discuss something with the HQ and Silver. Apparently, according to Shadow, there was a mission for the two.
"What do you think it'll be like?" Sonic asked.
"What?"
"The mission."
"Oh. It will probably be easy like getting some documents. Nothing we should worry about I hope." Shadow responded, though when he finished his sentence he sounded worried and that wasn't very good.

Inside the building, Mr Robotnik was already waiting for them with Silver by his side.
"Great that you two are here. We've had a Mephiles sighting nearby. Obviously, he knows we are looking for him." Mr Robotnik said, his glasses still obscuring his eyes. Silver decided to take over explaining.
"And we know he is looking for us. Therefore, we are sending you two to try your first attack; to capture him so we can send him to the Tilted Towers Prison, a special place we have created for him."
"You'll need to search in the heart of the city at night, when he is most active. Take all the weapons you need. We don't care if he comes back dead or alive." Mr Robotnik finished.

'Nothing to worry about, huh Shadow?' Sonic thought sarcastically as he stole a side glance at Shadow.
"Sure thing. We'll get ready right away." Shadow turned and grabbed Sonic's wrists, dragging the two out of the room. They took the elevator to the basement floor, somewhere Sonic has never been to before.

"Tell me Shadz, how are we supposed to find him exactly?"
"Because Silver is not here, we can't use him as bait." He said as he loaded a pistol. Shadow lifted his arm and mimicked how it would be to shoot the gun before giving it to Sonic.
"So we are going straight in with full awareness. The only thing that worries me is that you don't know how to use one of these... Though I'm sure you'll do fine." Shadow limped a wrist in Sonic's direction as he turned around to get a gun of his own. Sonic scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, with your vague explanations on how to use this thing I totally won't blow myself up into smithereens."

Shadow's head fell back and he groaned in annoyance. He turned to Sonic with a pistol of his own.
"Fine, I'll teach you how to take aim and fire. You are so lucky we have a few dummies down here."

Shadow lifted his arms and took aim for the head of the dummy. His eyes were fixated on his target like a predator on its prey. Sonic couldn't help but stare at him like that. 'Wow... He looks so... Damn.' Sonic blushed a bit and looked to the dummy as soon as Shadow pulled the trigger and shot the thing right in the head.
"Impressive." Sonic said, crossing his arms.
"That was nothing compared to what else I can do. Anyways, now it is your turn. Show me what you've got." Sonic gulped and re-created Shadow's past movements, shooting the dummy in the head.
