Sonadow: Coincidence

Chapter 03: Roommate? Sure mate!

"Would you like a roommate?" The lady behind the counter asked, looking at someone over her glasses.

Sonic had found himself in this situation because of his mother.
"You should get a dorm! You stress too much getting ready for college, and they offer dorms for their students! You should take the chance Sonic." The hedgehog couldn't help but sigh internally.

"Uhh, yes?" He said. The lady let out a 'hmm' sound and went back to typing. She looked at somethings that reflected only white and blue in her glasses. She opened a drawer and handed Sonic a pair of keys.
"Here you go. Don't lose them." She said, then went back on to her computer.

Sonic nodded, as if she could see him, and walked away. Being at school early wasn't bad, especially if you're classes didn't start early. 'Sometimes starting classes at different times comes in handy'.

The keys had a small green emerald keychain attached to them. The key itself read : 303. Surprised at how many rooms this college provided, Sonic went to the dorm building and looked for the room that was located on the second floor. He wasn't sure if his roommate was already in the room, but he decided to knock either way.
"Come in." A rather deep voice said on the other side. It send shivers down Sonics spine. He unlocked the door and walked inside. He looked up to see a motorcycle helmet on the coffee table, next to a white mug with a red S on it.

When he looked up, he was met with a pair of blood red rubies. It was the pretty stranger from his classes! The two stayed making silent eye contact for a small while.

"So, you are my roommate?" The hedgehog asked, nodding his head in the direction of the keys Sonic was holding. It took the blue hedgehog some time to respond, having been distracted by his surprisingly deep voice.
"Ah, uh, yeah- yes! I am. The name's Sonic Hedgehog." The black and red hedgehog nodded and approached the coffee table, grabbing his mug and helmet.
"Mine is Shadow Robotnik. Pleasure meeting you, Sonic." 'Oh yeah, this is going to be hard to get used to', Sonic thought, a small smile forming on his face.

Shadow invited Sonic inside, mainly because he was letting in too much cold air. Sonic hung up his red scarf on the clothing hanger near the door. Sonic looked at the clock that was hung up on one of the walls. It read : 7:35am. Sonic tilted his head at it.
"Hey Shadow, is that clock right?"
"No, it's thirty minutes early. Why?" Sonic's eyes went wide as he grabbed his scarf in a panic.
"WE'RE FIVE MINUTES LATE TO PUBLIC SPEAKING!"
"SHIT!" The two ran down and out the building at lightning speed.

After classes ended, the two fell onto the couch. They were exhausted from the constant running.
"For next time, we are definitely fixing that damned clock." Sonic sighed, unbuttoning his brown coat. Shadow solemnly agreed by nodding his head.

For sure the two hedgehogs were going to make a peculiar and interesting duo already.
