Chapter 07: Robo-Corp employee

Sonic had no idea what Rouge was so upset with. Organizing the files was easy, and especially now that he knew where everything was because this Amy girl told him where everything was. They were all super friendly.
"Hey Sonic? Could you bring these to Silver? His office is down the hall, it says : office S1." Amy Rose said as she handed the extra files to Sonic.
"Sure."

He walked down the hall and walked into the room Amy directed him to. Silver was a white hedgehog with striking yellow eyes and his muzzle and inside of his ears were extra pale. He wore a similar outfit to Shadow's, only the red was white in his case. Sonic placed the files next to him.
"Thanks Am.." He looked up with a smile and was about to thank Amy before he realized that Amy wasn't the one who had delivered the files. Silver was very confused as he studied Sonic's face.
"Oh! I'm Shadow's classmate... And roommate. We came here together and I'm helping around the place a bit. My apologies..." Sonic said.

Silver smiled and waved him off dismissively.
"It's fine. Say, how's it like helping around?" To Sonic's surprise, Silver sounded British.
"Uh, it's fun actually. Everyone is super friendly." Silver nodded and told Sonic to sit down. Was he in trouble?
"Do you have any experience working in the office?" Sliver asked.
"A little bit. Do internships count?"
"Absolutely."
"Then yes." Silver opened his bottom drawer and took out a sheet of paper. He slip it over his desk and to Sonic.

"We could always use a little bit more help around these parts. How does it sound to work here, part-time on the weekends? Of course you'll get a salary as well. What do you say?" Sonic looked at the paper. The offer was tempting and there was no one to stop him from taking it. Plus, who doesn't like some extra money on the side?
"Sure, why not?"
"Lovely! Please sign here and I can show you around."

Shadow was signing away at his desk, the clock ticking tauntingly as no amount of papers done felt like progress. Then, Rouge came in. She sat on his desk with her legs crossed, Shadow paying her absolutely no mind.
"My, your little friend Sonic is quite cute." She commented. Shadow slowed down and looked up at her. He gave her the most disgusted facial expression he could muster. He didn't know why he felt that way, he could care less what that azure hog did... Or did he?
"Is he legal?"
"He goes to college Rouge, of course he is."
"Then I don't think you'd mind inviting him to a small ménage à trois with only us three." She winked seductively.

Shadow shook his head slowly.
"No way. Get a boyfriend your age if you're so needy about it, woman." Rouge huffed.
"You're no fun."
"I'll take what I can get."
Three knocks in a row in a pattern belonging to only one white hedgehog got Shadow to looked up again.
"Come in Silver." As his brother came in, Rouge left.
"Hey little brother."
"What is it now?"
"Welcome our new employee!" He introduced. Shadow's jaw almost dropped to the ground.

Sonic was wearing the standard employee outfit. A white button up, black gloves, brown overalls and dress shoes.
"What the.."
"Hey Shadz."
"I'm sure you guys will work together splendidly!" Silver chirped as he walked away.

"I'm never letting out of my sight ever again."
"Fair enough."
