Prince Duryodhan (cousin & arch enemy of Pandava)

The arrogant tall astute figured man was screaming aloud. He was none but Yudhhisthir and Arjuna's cousin, 'Yubaraj' (Prince) of Hastinapur, great mace warrior Duryodhan. He was backed by the lust of his blind father's, King Dhritarashtra's, blind lust for throne. He was actually a pawn in the hands of his father and his maternal uncle or 'Mama' Shakuni. Duryodhan was portrayed as an arrogant fool but in reality he had great dichotomy in his nature. He opposed the caste system and even befriended with a man of lower caste, Angaraj or King of Anga 'Desh' (state), benevolent Karna. He had helped his people seldom with whole heart. He was even known to have gigantic heart and accpted all of his stepbrothers as his own. He was told to have 100 brothers and 1 sister, Dushala, wife of Sindhu Naresh or King of Sindhu region, Jayadrath. But actually all of them were not from his own mother, Gandhari. Among his 100 brothers Dusashan, Yuyutsu and Bikarna were wellknown. He had tall and slender figure with powerful  arms and strong torso, chiseled chest, six packs abs, sturdy legs and athletic body. He had a strong piercing looks for his foes and merciful looks for his friends. The enmity between him and Yudhhisthir was flowing in his vein. His father, Dhritarasthra, being a blind man, was denied from throne of Hastinapur. Later his younger brother Pandu was bethroned and this was the beginning of hatred in his father's lustful mind. Even though Pandu was in exile till his death and gave the throne to his elder brother, the throng was strong enough to pierce his mind. Later due to first birth, Yudhhisthir, the eldest of Pandu son's, were to be considered as the Crown Prince of Hastinapur that Dhritarashtra never accepted wholehearedly. He wanted to have Duryodhan as his Crown Prince. Hence the enmity between Kaurav and Pandav was decade long history of Hastinapur and in future it would lead them to Kurukshetra. So, in one sentence, after Yudhhisthir, Duryodhan was another complex character.

Duryodhan told that to his Mamasree or uncle Shakuni who was poisoning his minds constantly against the Pandav clan

Duryodhan told that to his Mamasree or uncle Shakuni who was poisoning his minds constantly against the Pandav clan. Shakuni's whole family had been imprisoned and had been brutally killed by his younger sister, Gandhari's husband, Dhritarasthra. So he was in a not so secret mission of avenging his insult. Hence he used this 'Murkha' (gross minded) nephew of his as his ultimate pawn to end the Kuru 'Bansh' or clan.

"I don't want to be defeted by that b***rd Arjuna at any cost, Mamashree (maternal uncle). He had win over the heart of the Nag clan and now he was there to win over the heart of that warrior Princess of Manipur. We have to stop him at any cost." He screamed aloud in anger.

"Bhanje (nephew), don't be impatient. In the impeding war Nag clan or the small state of Manipur is futile to win over. The will never dare to send their army against Hastinapur. Hence we have to think big. We have to think of having greatest ally of us." Shakuni told him with a smirk on the face.

"Which ally?!!" He was anxious to know the answer.

"Dwarka. Send a message to your guru (mentor) Balram that you want to marry his sister, Subhadra. In this way you will become his brother-in-law and Lord Krishna will also be obliged to be on your side." Shakuni suggested.

"But Chitrangada was more pretty than Subadra, Mamasree." He tried to argue like a children.

"Forget her. Think rationally. Subadra will be your dhal (armor) from Lord Krishna." Shakuni Mama suggested again.

Before Duryodhan opened his mouth to protest more he stopped in the track by hearing the voice of his dear friend, Karna who was telling him -
