"I want you to marry my daughter. Unless forget of the peace treaty."

This was the ultimate decision of king Chitra Vahan. He told it to the royal messanger of Indrapratha, Arjuna.

After the ending of his meditation at the forest, he came to meet the King in the palace. Till then King Chitra Vahan already been informed from Sujata of the love affair of his only daughter with Arjuna. He had also been known about his blunt refusal to marry her by his spies. He was petrified. He did not expect it at all. Hence he asked for this.

Arjuna looked at him in shock. He had known that a royal king could ask for anything, but not this. Any father could ask for it, but not a king. He did not comprehend what to do. He had already rejected his daughter, Chitra's advances. What to do now??!!

"You are asking for impossible, Rajan (king). It is not good to mix politics and personal affairs." He tried to convince the king in vain.

King Chitra Vahan smiled a small and answered him "You are not a father. You don't understand."

"I may not be a king but I am a Prince myself. I know the politics. As a ruler you are responsible for wellbeing of your state. Your stubbornness can hamper your state's wellness." Arjuna tried to reason with him.

"I am not in the mood of listening to you a bit. My condition stands the same. If you want a peace with your new born state, you have to admit it. Unless you have only one day to leave Manipur." King Chitra Vahan ordered him arrogantly.

Arjuna narrowed his eyes and bit his lower lip. It was a natural gesture of him. It meant he was in deep thought.

King Chitra Vahan left the room with a proud air around him. He was not in the mood of listening. He was now bound by his love for daughter. As a father he was ignoring his duty as a King. But he had no 'glani' (guilt) feelings about that.

Arjuna looked at the King's departing silhoutte. He was in shock. Before him, King Basuki of Nag clan, also demanded the same in his own way. He also told that he was marrying him with his daughter Ulupi not because he had faith on him, but because he had a daughter who was madly in love with him. He was forced to be married with Ulupi then for the sheer sucess of the peace treaty. But he then accepted it wholehearedly as he was mafly in love with her and was feeling gratified for that. But he never thought that Princess Chitrangada's father would also use the same tactics.

He paced upside and down to decide what to do. He knew that his marriage with Panchali was not to be claimed as his own. Draupadi was the wife of all the five brothers. But Ulupi!! She was his own. His first wife in that sense should be Ulupi. He loved her with his heart and never wanted to deceive her. When he came to the mission at Manipur she was already pregnant with their child. He did not go back to her or have any news. Did she gave birth safely??!! Was it a boy or a girl??!! He did not know anything at all. He wanted to go to her and her child. But this pressing situation was going out of control.

He sighed hard and then looked at the ceiling in frustration to say in broken voice -
