"I will not share my husband. At any cost. I will never let you bully me against it."
Ulupi had screamed on the top of her lungs. She did not believe at all. Her Arjuna would never cheat her. She did not believe it.
"Daughter, you should believe your mother at once. When you tried to marry him, I told you thousand times that he should not be believed. But you are so gullible." Queen of Nag clan, Bishabahini, told her daughter.
"I don't trust you, Mother. You hated him from the start." Ulupi yelled again.
Queen Bish Bahini (foster mother of Ulupi)
"I know. You don't trust me now but you trust him blindly. Now see in your own eyes what he is doing with you. You give birth his first born but did he come to meet you or your son??!! No. But you will still believe him." Her mother was poisoining her daughter's mind to extreme against her husband.
"Please. Stop it." Ulupi broke into a sob.
Daman was looking at both of them and listening to their conversation. She felt so sorry for her but she was just a puppet in the hands of Chandok.
She did not have a say in this matter."Beti (daughter), don't cry. Please." Her mother's heart melted right away.
But the arrow was already thrown. It even stuck its aim perfectly."Rajkumari, Rajkumari (princess), I have an important information to give you. Arjuna has accepted King Chitra Vahan's demand of marrying his daughter with him in the name of peace treaty." Chandok entered into the scene with perfect timing.
Ulupi looked at his face with a jolt. She could not believe her ears now. Was really he going to get married again?!! But he promised her that he would never marry again. She would be his last wife.
"No. No. No. I don't believe you. I can't believe you at all." Princess Ulupi screamed once more.
"Believe us. He is going to marry her as soon as possible. Chitrangada is an exquisite beauty and she herself even proposed to him." Chandok told her innocently by fluttering his eyelashes.
Queen Bishabahini smirked at him. She was happy to have a revenge on Arjuna. She looked at Chandok quite expectantly. Chandok took the hint. He knelt in front of Ulupi and bowed to her. He wanted to prove himself believable.
His guards dragged a man forcefully. His clothes were torn and hair ruffled.
He looked as a soldier of nearby state of Manipur. They shoved him before their Princess. He fall down on her feet at once. She lifted him and asked them "How dare you to drag a man this way? What is his guilt?" Her angry scream stopped them in their track.
"Let him go." Chandok told them.
He clutched her legs and begged for her mercy. "Help me. Please save me. I am innocent."
"Tell me what I you want to tell me without any fear. I assure you." She told him.
"Tell her everything about upcoming marriage of your Princess Chitra and Arjuna." Chandok told him.
He stood beside him and put some pressure on the captive soldier's knuckles on the floor. He let out a small cry of pain but suppressed it at once. He knew that this evil man would kill him for a single mistake. He had to bear the pain.
He lowered his head and answered her -
"Rajkumari (princess), it is really true. Kunti-putro Arjuna has accepted the marriage proposal."
Ulupi slapped him hard and told her guards to release him at once. But Chandok signalled them secretly to kill him. He did not want him to go back to his country to tell them about this. Evil Chandok did not want any witness of his ruthless plan. They all nodded and dragged that unfortunate soldier with them.
"I will do anything to separate her from my Arjuna. Anything. Tell me what to do." Ulupi shouted in anger.
Chandok was waiting for this signal. His plan was slowly coming to track.
