Flashback August 22nd

Kenzie's POV: Buckle up, sorry I'm too excited rn lmao

Billie and Maddie have the day off, I tried to get them to plan the wedding but they insisted that they need their time together and obviously I respect it. I do have to go to Maddie's today because I need to grab some clothes to bring to my studio for another fitting for someone else.

I have gotten a vibe from Maddie since the second she left for tour, and between Holden too, I have no fucking idea what it could be. Literally not a clue, (sorry I'm giggling writing this) it just feels like everyone around me is acting strange and I'm not sure why.

Holden left to go to a photo shoot with some TikToker, I'm used to Maddie acting weird or having her little episodes where she doesn't talk to anyone, and that's fine by me, but it feels like she's going out of her way to avoid speaking to me almost.

It just feels weird because Maddie was my favorite person, and it sucks seeing your favorite person become distant, and Holden acting weird it just seems like everything is falling apart. I've been debating looking for other people to manage because Maddie doesn't need me right now, and the way I get paid is by how much work Maddie does. And if she does nothing then I make no money.

I hate that my career is suffering because Maddie is taking a step back because she's getting married, I am so delighted that Billie proposed. They're planning a wedding, but I just wish they took a little time off to sit down and actually plan out their near future. They're young and they're ambitious, and they want to get things done. I just wish they used their time more accordingly.

I mean yes they want to get married, and yes they're ambitious about it. I just wish they would realize that Billie is writing her album and Maddie still has her career, and with how much they're working Billie, I just really don't see how it's going to get done effectively.

I'm on the way to Maddie's right now, I plan on being quick, I need to look at her calendar so I'm going to spend some time on that but I'm going to make that shit as quick as possible.

It doesn't take me long to get there and the second I walk in the door, I'm greeted by Ilo and Milo. I bend down to pet them both and then I see Billie and Maddie sitting at the island, I give them both a nod and then walk up the stairs to the glam room, I set my phone down on the table. The clothes I wanted were already on the rack for me to take back so this was an easy operation.

It took me two trips to get everything I needed back to my car, I went to the island and pulled Maddie's calendar out. I am glad that they decided on a wedding planner because then that shows what Maddie's schedule looks like with the wedding planner. I also noticed that Billie has a calendar here too with the days she made her album.

I don't pay much attention to that as I just need to fill out a few sponsorships so Maddie remembers to post them, see, I'm not even doing managerial tasks, I'm literally writing a sticky note to remind Kenzie to post on her Instagram. I internally roll my eyes and I can see Billie out of the corner of her eye on her phone, I have to ask, I hate that this awkward between us.

Kenzie: "Billie can I ask you something?"

Billie: "Uh, sure."

Kenzie: "Has Maddie been acting... weird?"

Billie: "What do you mean?"

Billie paused.

Kenzie: "It's just like she doesn't talk to me anymore, her and I used to be besties and now it literally just feels like I'm her stylist, not even her manager because since her career is online now, she doesn't need me it feels like."
