Life is finally settling down, the tour ends, and they're back in L.A. Maddie and Billie think their lives are calm, but they never thought about how hard it would be to plan a wedding, and they never realized how much their schedules would...
Maddie and I are flying home today, the doctor strongly suggests that I wait to fly home for at least another 3 days but I can't be in New York anymore. I want to go home and I want to lay in my bed.
Maddie was going to fly home today regardless because she has to sign with Claudia's team today, there are big opportunities for Maddie coming up if she signs so she needs to get back.
With how I'm feeling, I'll probably be cleared in about 2 or 3 weeks. I know I need a break, but at the same time, I don't want one. I just want to work until the album is done so I can move on with my life.

We're on the flight and in first class because Maddie insisted that I needed to rest. She's sitting in front of me, they're like office cubicles almost with how much space we have. I peeked over the back of her chair to see her journaling. I can't believe how many words were on that page.
I can't see what she's writing but I want to know so bad.

We get back to Maddie's house and she left immediately to go sign the papers with Claudia's team, which leaves me with the dogs alone. I'm sitting on the couch with them. I'm scrolling on my phone, bored.
I sigh and go up to the studio because I don't have shit else to do. I had this scrapped song but I decided to try and save it. I added some layers and some more vocals and I liked it.
FaceTiming: Finneas
Finneas: "Hey, you get back alive?"
Billie: "No I'm dead on the plane."
He smiles.
Finneas: "What are you working on?"
Billie: "It's in the folder."
I can see him walk to his computer and he starts listening to it.
Finneas: "Billie, this is good."
Billie: "Thanks."
Finneas: "What's it called?"
Billie: "Nda."
Finneas: "If the label likes this song, this puts us over the halfway mark."
