I was talking to Jonathan when she came walking down in a beautiful red dress. I'd tried to mentally prepare myself for what it would be like to see her in person again, but nothing could compare to this. I watched her fingertips glide across the banister and felt my throat dry up.
Olivia walked down the stairs to Mr. Tall Dark & Handsome. My friends called him Weston and said he was actually a super nice guy, very laid back. But the moment I watched Olivia put her hands on his chest I wanted to punch him. Olivia turned her head and we made eye contact.
In that instant it felt like the entire world disappeared and for just a second it was only me and her. Just us. The moment our eyes met I could actually hear my heartbeat in my ears. She looks even more beautiful than I remember.
The guy went off somewhere and Olivia went out on to a balcony. This is my chance. I followed her as secretively as I could and took a deep breath.
"Olivia? Are you out here?" I asked once I stepped outside. She spun around and met my eyes again, but this time she rolled hers so aggressively it looked painful.
"I can't believe you actually had the nerve to come out here." She said flatly.
"In my defense I tried to tell Henderson this was a bad idea, but he insisted." I scratched the back of my head nervously. "Look, Olivia — "
