Chapter Twenty One

Keith ran his hand through Lance's hair as the boy was fast asleep with soft purrs, they still haven't figured out why Lance's hair is still white and more or less haven't told anyone Lance was pregnant yet. He did wonder if they'll tell the others but then they'd find out he was an Omega and he was sure Lance was still afraid of that.

A knock at the doors turned his attention from his mate to the doors, "who is it?" He called keeping his voice down so Lance wouldn't wake up "It's Veronica, uh, Pidge I think said this was your guys' room" Keith looked at Lance who was still sound asleep cuddled info his side "You can come in" The doors opened revealing Veronica "he's asleep?" She asked walking over "yeah" She leaned against the wall looking at her brother, how much he's grown and she didn't get to see it for seven years. "How is he?" She asked Keith "worn out and tired other than that, fine" Her eyes glanced fo Lance's covered stomach "I know I'm probably the only one to notice this but is Lance pregnant?" Keith's expression told her he was "Keith, I'm asking you this. Don't let anything happen to the baby it will break Lance's heart" she said "you say it like this has happened before" he said "It did, from what it looks like he asked you to impregnate him and he trusts you" Keith frowned, why didn't Lance tell him he was pregnant before?

"You said he was pregnant before. How?" He asked confused "It was a few months before my death, his father raped him again and he ended up being pregnant. He was in tears because the baby was created because of him being raped, however he never did get to meet them. His father ended up hitting him hard in the stomach and ultimately killing the baby, I've never seen Lance crying so hard in my life" She said sadly, remembering his face at that time. "He probably didn't tell you cause it hurt, losing a child can do many things to the mother and those things can end up leading to bad results" Keith looked at Lance worriedly and pulled him so that he layed on his chest when his mouth parted letting out soft snores.

"Still adorable even now" she smiled looking at Lance "I'll never let that bastard get him again. Lance is worth so much to everyone even me" Veronica smiled fondly at Keith "And I'm glad, he deserves a family and a mate and I'm glad he's chosen you" Keith nodded "I'll let you two sleep, I still need to find Matt" he nodded again and Veronica left the room, she'll do anything to keep her stepfather from getting to Lance and her new nephew or niece she doesn't want to see Lance heartbroken again.
