"Get out of my way"

"I'm not letting you walk out of here Dawson"

"You will, or I'll make you" I growled, shoving my hands roughly into the chest of the person blocking my way. But he stood strong, unmoved by my actions.

"Get back to the locker room, cool down, and then go back to work"

"Back to work? At this place? No freaking way Avery, I'll go anywhere but here" Jackson didn't move and I thought he was going to force me to try to move him again. His hands went to the top of my shoulders, as though he was trying to contain me so I wouldn't explode. But I was beyond that now, I was mad and I was leaving.

"Taylor, just come sit and chat with me"

"Chat with you? The guy who can't look me in the eyes ever since I started wants me to chat with him? Like we're friends"

"Come on Tay, just-"

"My name is Taylor! Actually, to you my name is Doctor Dawson. Please move Doctor Avery, before the director of this hospital gets my fist in his face" I attempted to move once more but Jackson's arms held me firm.

"Alright then, Doctor Dawson I command you to get into the locker room and sit down until you can behave normally" My brown eyes burned with unbridled fury into his turquoise ones that bore the same look. It was a stand-off and eventually, I huffed.

"Fine" I turned and stalked back to the resident's locker room with Jackson hot on my tail. I tried to slam the door behind me but he caught it, shutting it gently.

"You need to take a deep breath and calm down" I flicked my head up at him.

"I'll have a better chance of that if you weren't in here" Jackson and I engaged in another stare-down when the door opened, breaking our gaze from one another. I laughed when I saw who was standing there.

"Is everything okay?" The voice asked. I laughed.

"Of course you're here right now! Just get Karev in here and it'll be a damn party!" Jo wore a look of confusion on her face. Jackson sighed.

"I think it might be best that you're not in here right now" Jo looked at him.

"Why? I didn't do anything"

"But your boyfriend did, in front of everyone. And now I'm going to be the gossip topic of the whole hospital"

"Believe me, I'm almost as pissed off as you Taylor" I snickered.

"Doesn't excuse that he did it."

"Wilson, go. I'll make sure she's okay" Jackson said. Jo left and I looked at Jackson, with my hands on my hips.

"You're gonna make sure I'm okay Doctor Avery? Then here's your short answer. No, I'm not. Whatever stupid operation you're running here, I don't want anything to do with it anymore"

"Taylor-"

"Are you going to try to fix this? When, ever since I got here, you haven't been able to work with me? This is meant to be a teaching hospital, but no attending here wants to work with me. Owen said the board wanted me here but I don't even know who on the board would even say yes, not with the way I'm being treated!"

"So what? You want me to fire Karev?" Jackson yelled.

"Either that or let me quit!"

"Nice try, I'm not losing the only good resident I have" I laughed, running my hands through the short hair on my head.
