TAKEN CARE OF
———

"GLENN, MILO, YOU HAVE TO HURRY." Rick's voice sounded over the radio that was in Glenn's backpack, "The noise could distract the herd right off the road. Talk to me."

Milo was scrambling around in Glenn's bag trying to find the radio that Rick had given them. Maeve had her hands on her knees, breathing in and out at a rapid pace as she attempted to catch her breath. They had fully sprinted all the way here so they could start pretty far ahead of the herd, yet it still felt as if the dead was right on their asses.

Once Milo grabbed the walkie talkie, he said heavily out of breath, "We're here. We're here."

Heath and Maeve had already cleared out the walkers that were wondering about, making sure that they weren't able to make noise to be able to distract and ruin their plan. That's why they were here, it was their job to clear out this truck stop that was filled with about two dozen walkers or more, just banging on the door and begging to be let out.

Milo handed Glenn the walkie who put it into the side pocket of his bag, now they all had their full attention on the shop of walkers.

"Sounds like a lot." Nick states.

Maeve, who was just able to breathe normally, was able to breathe out the words, "Couldn't tell." Everyone ignored her snarky comment.

"So what's the plan?" Heath asked, looking between Maeve, Glenn and Milo. The three with the most experience.

Glenn didn't have to think, he had gone over this plan with Rick already. "Take em out, a few at a time." Glenn says, he wonders around to and the side of the store. Everyone followed, and they saw what he saw. The door. That's how they control it, that's how they take a few out at a time. "Nicholas, you're at the door. You let two out and then you close it. You keep doing that. That's the trick. That's how we control it."

Nicholas looked scared but was trying his best to be brave, it worried Maeve, and she decided it was best if she used her bow, she can keep distant and if Nicholas is not capable of holding the door, she'll be able to see all the walkers and be able to kill any of them. She'll also be able to have a view of Nicholas, who she didn't trust one bit.

"Wait, what if he can't close it?" Heath asked.

"Maybe I should take the door--" Milo says, going to step forward and take the door when Nicholas stops him and demands that he is capable. Maeve rolled her eyes, it wasn't time to try and prove your dominance, although she dislikes Milo more, she trusts his ability to keep the door controlled.

Maeve watches Glenn give Milo a look, telling him without saying it that it's best if they just get this done. No time to waste.

"If he can't, we take them on." Glenn said, "If we get into trouble, we go behind the building into the woods and draw them away."

Heath wasn't approving of this answer, the clear disapproval was written all over his face. He stepped away from the door in doubt. Nicholas starts up, "Hey, you've been out on runs since Glenn got here. He knows what he's doing. Me and Aiden, we didn't."

"Alright, Nicky boy, you can kiss my boy's ass later. Let's get a move on." Milo cracked his neck, then grabbed the knife from his holster and gripped it tight. Ready for anything.
