RORY'S BIG SECRET
———ELLIOTT STOOD LEANING AGAINST THE INFIRMARY, talking to Rosita and Eugene. Checking on him after his accident at the train tracks, seeing as he had been shot. Eugene was doing better today, he seemed to be powering through but not without various complaints about everything and anything.
A part of Elliott found a humour in the big words that Eugene used, but the other part of him felt like a big dumb guy who didn't understand a thing the man said. Meaning that Elliott was getting partly annoyed, but he was trying to be a good friend—seeing as after Maeve he hasn't had many of those.
Glenn and Milo kept a respectful distance, never made things weird or awkward but they clearly were Maeve's best friends so Elliott never bothered them. Obviously his friend he saw the most potential in getting remotely close to was Daryl—clearly that won't work out now.
Rosita and Elliott had that one night stand and he was now living in her house, the only problem is that now that Rosita and Milo have their thing going on, he also is giving that a respectable amount of space. Not wanting to step on Milo's toes or create any bad blood. Rick was always busy, Rory has Carl, Judith, Michonne and Rick now. Kai and Louis are getting close with Daryl, making Elliott feel as if he isn't needed anymore.
It's been lonely.
It was so weird, Elliott was the one who wanted to stay here the most because he's always wanted this life for them. But it seems that while everyone else is thriving—he is losing more than he came in with.
It's been hard, trying to find a joy in a place that doesn't need him. Beside being an excellent fighter, he has nothing going for himself. Elliott felt himself slipping away a little day by day, looking for a meaning in life, without Maeve or the boys, feeling like Rory doesn't need him, everything is blurring as he doesn't feel like he's building much of a life. He is just getting by.
It was starting to make him think that there was nothing left for him here anymore, there was no one who loved him, who would fight for him or stand by his side. He has never felt so completely and utterly alone.
Would anyone even care if he just disappeared? If he left tomorrow, would anyone notice? Would anything change? Maybe he should. Maybe he should get out. Maybe the best thing for him and everyone else is to if he just left and wasn't around to infect anyone with his negativity.
Suddenly, as Elliott was deep into his depressing thoughts, he heard the sound of quick footsteps approaching them. Making his head spin around to catch sight of Rory racing over to them, a panic look on her face as she stopped right in front of him. Catching her breath with large and quick inhales and exhales.
"Rory? What's wrong?" Elliott asked in a nervous and in an older brotherly concern, placing a hand on her shoulder to urge her to speak.
Between her quick inhales and exhales, she breathed out, "Come—with—me."
Rory reaches up, grabbing the hand from her shoulder and gripping it so tightly that he had no choice but to follow her. Running away with her, racing away from all people and any ears that might hear what it is that is about to be said. Although Elliott was having an inner panic, fearing whatever it was that he was about to find.
"Ro, Rory. Slow down!" Elliott told her, having nearly tripped over his own feet a few times in the last minute.
Finally, Rory pulled him under the gazebo. Sitting him down on the bench as she stood in front of him, pacing back and forth while biting at her nails anxiously. Elliott watched her, not so much scared anymore but more so concerned. Never having seen Rory, a girl stronger than most, so nervous about something he was clueless to.
