"There's a storm coming in, I guess." Alex shrugged in her bed.

"Are you alright? Do you wa-"

"I'm fine. I was just about to go to bed, anyway. Erica's gone somewhere and I'm sure Alexa and Kya are sleeping, or waiting for Ry and Tyson so."

"I can come over if you want me to." Nathan cut her off.

"No, I don't want you to be in any discomfort. You have your whole set up for your leg at home." She rolled her eyes at her phone.

"I'm coming over." He stated.

"Nathan, you just got back from St. Louis and you're hurting. I'm fine!" She growled.

"I'm glad that you're fine but I still want to see you." He explained.

"We can meet up tomorrow!" She exclaimed.

"Leaving now. Love you." He sang before he hung up.

She rolled her eyes again as she pulled the phone away from her ear. She started watching some TV while she waited for Nathan. The TV cut out into static before it shut off along with all the lights. Alex jumped. It was like a scene from a horror movie.

She sighed and sent Nathan a text, instructing him to stay home. It sent as an actual text, due to everything being down. She started to do other things she could without light.

She painted her nails, a nice pink colour and her toes were a pale blue. She checked her laptop battery. It was full. She decided to watch a movie on that. She never got a response from Nathan, but she thought nothing of it.

She started up a movie and looked out the window. All she could see was white. It was probably the worst storm they'd see all winter. She sent Nathan another text, wondering why he wasn't responding. A smash outside and a car horn blaring caused Alex to shriek. She looked out the window again. A car had definitely swerved into a pole. She frowned.

Sirens began to blare. Alex ignored them and started watching The Conjuring. Nothing really scared her until the part where the girls were in the room and it showed the creature on top of the wardrobe. She let out a scream.

There was a knock on her door and she screamed again. The knob wiggled and she felt her heart racing. She slowly rose from her bed, carrying her phone close to her. She could feel the tears running down her cheeks. She was terrified. She was about to be murdered.

She peaked through the hole in the door. She saw a familiar mop of head. She took a deep breath as she unlocked the door and slowly pulled it open. Nathan looked up and she pounced into his arm. He was cold and covered in snow but she didn't care.

Her legs wrapped around his waist and her arms around his neck. He walked into her room, closing the door behind them. He set her down by her bed so he could change out of his clothes. He looked and saw she had tears on her cheeks.

"Woah, were you crying?" He frowned.

She laughed, wiping her eyes. "I thought you were a murder." She confessed.

He shook his head. "Why didn't you answer my messages?" He exclaimed.

"I didn't get a single message!" She told him, showing her phone.

"I almost died for you!" He cried. "And I'm freezing!"

She smiled. "You're the sweetest boy ever. Now take off your clothes and I'll warm you up." She teased.

He chuckled and started removing his layers. She gave him a change of clothes he had left in the past. She tucked him into her bed, stealing Erica's blankets for extra warmth. She hung his clothes over the shower rod to dry. She put on something warmer for herself before she crawled in and cuddled up to him.
