Alex chewed her food quietly, watching her boyfriend demolish his. He had gotten two orders of fries on the side to go with the fries and giant burger already sitting on the plate. She shook her head at him. He looked up at her, still devouring his food. He set it down and wiped his mouth. She laughed, shaking her head again. He smiled as he swallowed what he had in his mouth. He took a sip of his drink.
"I'm always really hungry after games." He explained.
"I know. I've known you for a while." She smirked.
"Do you ever think about that?" He quizzed.
"How much you eat?"
"No," He glared. "How long we've been together, not really together, barely together, and how much shit we've gone through? Like, we've probably gone through more than most couples that have been together for, like, twelve years."
She nodded. "It's kinda crazy."
"It's really crazy. You're crazy." He spoke. She narrowed her eyes at him. He reached for her hand. "But so am I. This entire relationship has been."
"Yet we've made it work." She smiled.
"I know I say it a lot but I'm so thankful to have you and I don't know what I'd do if you didn't forgive me for e-"
"Nathan, shut up." She growled. "Eat your food and give it a rest."
He smiled. "I love you."
"I know, babe." She smirked before she took a sip of her milkshake.
They finished their meal shortly after that. Nathan had begged her to let him stay the night. She didn't bother arguing. He drove to her dorm quietly. His hand sat on her knee the entire drive. He squeezed her knee as they drove. She held his hand with hers, stroking his knuckles with her thumb. He smiled at that. He loved when she was gentle with him, considering how aggressive she could be. Not that it was a bad thing, he loved it about her.
"You know I worry about you, like, always right?" She spoke, resting her head back on the seat.
"Yeah, you're not good at hiding it." He chuckled. "Is that why you didn't want to come tonight?"
She nodded. "Boston is just Boston and you're so delicate."
"I'm not delicate." He said through gritted teeth as he dug his fingers into her thighs.
"Ow, fine! But I am!" She whined, whacking his hand. "That's gonna bruise!"
"I'll give ya some more tonight." He smirked, rubbing her inner thigh.
"Settle down, Erica's home." She shook her head.
"We can kick her out." He shrugged.
"We can wait until another day." She rolled her eyes. "You're home for a week."
"So we can have plenty of fun? Maybe stay in bed the entire time?" He smirked.
"Wow, someone's desperate for some ass." She mocked.
"Just your ass." He shrugged.
She laughed, shaking her head. He parked in the dorm parking. He gave her a big smile as she unbuckled. She leaned forward to peck his lips before she opened her door and climbed out. He copied her action. She walked ahead of him and into the building. He followed behind like her little puppy. They reached her dorm door.
Alex unlocked the door and swung it open. She was looking at Nathan over her shoulder as she walked in. Expecting Erica to be passed out, they were about to be more than shocked. Nathan laughed at something Alex said before he looked up. His jaw dropped. Alex furrowed her brows then looked forward. She let out a gasp. Erica wasn't alone.
"No way!" Nathan yelled, laughing. "We should've fucking known!"
"How didn't we know?" Alex shook her head in disbelief.
"God, this is fantastic." Nathan laughed, walking to Alex's bed.
"Guess we can go on double dates now." Alex taunted.
"Shut up." Gabe groaned, dropping back onto the bed.
"How long has this been going on?" Nathan mocked as Alex cuddled into him on her own bed.
Erica shrugged, sitting up with the blanket around her. "Since we got you back together."
"So the scheming brought you together?" Alex scoffed.
Erica and Gabe both nodded.
"Basically." Gabe shrugged.
Alex nodded. She played with Nathan's fingers in front of her. She had a lot of questions. For Gabe, was Erica as crazy in bed as she was in every other aspect of life? Did she say ridiculous shit in bed? For Erica, what was it like fucking a foreign boy? How nice was Gabe in bed considering how nice he was outside of it? But she stuck with a pretty simple one.
"So are you just fucking or..."
"Are you in love?" Nathan finished for her, singing the last word.
Erica looked down at Gabe. He was watching her. Alex smiled. They were cute together. Alex looked up at Nathan. He was smiling at them too. She looked back to the couple. Gabe's face wasn't visible, but Erica was smiling at him. He had his head resting in his hand. She chuckled before she leaned forward and kissed him. Alex smiled.
"Cannot wait to tell my kids about the time me and my three best friends were all dating Avs players." She sighed.
Nathan pressed his lips to her ear. "Our kids." He whispered.
She rolled her eyes. "Don't push it." She grinned before kissing him.
