"Am I doing the right thing?" Lily said into her phone six days later. She heard Poppy giggle in reply. Over the last month she'd grown close to her younger sister, so even though Poppy was six years younger than her she felt comfortable discussing her concerns.

"Lils, he is fit. I say you go for it. What have you got to lose?"

Lily had felt guilty about walking out of the nightclub in Barcelona without saying goodbye to Liam, the footballer she'd met there. Luckily, they'd already exchanged numbers before she'd left and he'd called her a couple of days later to ask if she was still up for their date.

She'd agreed, only to have second thoughts ever since. She knew deep down that she still had a thing for Seb, even though he was the biggest jerk known to mankind. Liam was really nice though, and Poppy was right, she didn't have anything to lose.

"What time is he picking you up?"

"In about forty minutes."

"What are you doing talking to me then? Go make yourself beautiful, I mean you already are but...." Lily laughed.

"I'll call you tomorrow."

"You make sure you do. I want to know all the details."

"Love you."

"Love you too sis."

Lily ended the call and put her phone down on her dressing table. She didn't have much left to do before she was ready. She'd already showered, dressed and done her hair. She just had to do her makeup.

After debating for twenty minutes she'd gone for a royal blue dress. It was quite conservative, coming down to her knees, and not even showing an inch of cleavage. She didn't want to give Liam the wrong impression. She'd meant it when she'd said she didn't fuck on first dates.

No, you just suck off a man you hate after a Christmas party and let him eat you out in an elevator, she thought to herself.

She'd pinned her hair up in a neat chignon, thinking it made her look more sophisticated.

She picked up her make up bag and went to work and found herself ready a good ten minutes before Liam was due to arrive.

While she was waiting she began to think of the upcoming Monaco race weekend. She'd never raced in Monaco before. In fact she'd never even been there. She was extremely excited about it.

Her father had won there back in 1998 and she remembered him showing her photographs of him being presented his winners trophy by Prince Rainier.

She frowned as she remembered she'd have to spend the weekend trying to avoid Seb.   He'd been a complete moron in Barcelona, and she was liable to have a go at him about it if she saw him.

She lost track of time as she thought about Monaco.  The doorbell rang, startling her.

She picked her handbag up and went to answer it.

Liam grinned at her as she opened the door.  He was as handsome as she remembered.

"Hey gorgeous.  For you," he said, handing her a bouquet of red roses.

"Thank you," she said. "Do you want to come in while I put them in water?"

Liam stepped inside, looking around him.

"Nice place you've got here."

"It's ok.  Ferrari own it, I get it rent free as I'm in the FDA."

She walked through to the kitchen. Liam followed her.
