Lily sat crossed legged on the floor of Seb's game room, her hands on her thighs, her eyes closed.
They'd been back from Australia for three days now, and today she was back in training.
Antti would be arriving shortly, and Seb had popped out to visit the barber. He hadn't left her alone though. Britta was currently sat in Seb's office going through his large stack of fan mail.
Lily was a little jealous of how popular he was with the ladies if she was honest with herself, but she knew she had nothing to worry about. Seb loved her. She was certain of that.
She'd changed into a pair of black gym shorts and a black sports bra and decided to meditate for a while. She needed to clear her mind and prepare herself for the hard work which was to come. She hadn't trained for near enough two months, and she knew she was going to hurt by the end of the day. She was already thinking of the relaxing hot bath she'd have that evening. Perhaps the physical pain would do her good though, it might help her forget her emotional pain.
She began to take slow deep breaths and to think about the place that made her happy. She envisaged the white sands and the crystal clear water of Gladden Island.
She could almost hear the waves crashing onto the shore. She could almost feel the hot sun beating down on her skin. Could almost feel the gentle breeze ruffling the leaves on the trees.
She tuned everything else out and focussed on the island. There, she was happy. There, she was content.
She lost track of the time as she sat there lost in her thoughts, so lost in them that she didn't hear Seb return and call her name.
Seb felt a slight panic rise inside him as he stood in the hallway calling out Lily's name. Why wasn't she answering?
"Seb?" He looked around and saw Britta peering out of his office.
"Britta, where's Lily?"
"She said she was going to get changed for the gym and then meditate for a while. I think she went into the games room."
Seb dashed down the corridor to his games room, breathing a sigh of relief as he saw Lily sat crosslegged on the floor, meditating.
"Hey Schatz, I'm home," he said.
Lily's eyes opened and she looked up at him, smiling. Jumping to her feet, she closed the gap between them and threw her arms around his neck, kissing him quickly.
"You didn't have much cut off," she said, looking at his hair.
"I had at least two inches off," he argued. "I thought you might like some left to grab hold of in bed."
Lily laughed before pulling out of his arms and heading out of the door. "Do you want some lunch?"
"I'll have a sandwich if you're offering," he replied.
"Ham? Cheese? Tuna?"
"Ham please gorgeous."
He followed her into the kitchen, his eyes firmly fixated on her Lycra clad ass.
Lily went to the fridge and got out the ham, the butter and a cucumber. She then took the bread out of the bread bin and buttered enough slices to make them and Britta some lunch.
"What time did you say Antti would be here?"
"About another hour or so."
"I'm really nervous."
"Why? You know Antti."
"Yeah, but I'm sure his methods are different to what Lu...to what I'm used to. And I'm different from you. What if we don't gel?"
