Had it really been two years since she and Seb had had sex for the first time?
A massive coincidence had seen Lily given the same room where she and Seb had engulfed in angry sex after she'd ruined his race on that fateful day.
She glanced around the room, her eyes settling on the wall against which Seb had taken her.
Had it really been eighteen months since he'd last been inside her?
She was suddenly hit by a wave of loneliness. Besides Joel and Poppy, she wasn't particularly close to anyone in the paddock. She'd been close to Seb once but their friendship was still just beginning to be rebuilt.
She used to be close to George, Alex and Lando, but Alex had gone, and she'd distanced herself from the others, scared of letting anyone see the real her.
She missed being at Haas, she really did. Sure, she was getting better results at Ferrari, but she still felt like an outsider.
She sank down on the bed and her thoughts turned back to that night two years earlier. Seb bending her over the bed and tanning her ass as he fucked her hard.
Things had been weird between them since Zandvoort. They'd sent texts back and forth but neither of them had mentioned their last in person conversation.
Seb had said he needed time to think about her suggestion. How much time? Had he decided yet?
Forcing herself to think of something else, she thought about the race itself. She didn't have the best track record in Russia. In her two Formula 1 races there she'd yet to finish.
There had been the collision with Seb, then last year she'd had a mechanical failure. Would her Sochi curse continue? Or would it be third time lucky and she'd actually get some points this time?
The weather forecast for the weekend wasn't very positive. At the moment they'd forecast heavy rain for quali and the race.
It would also be her first race with Xavi as her engineer, and she was curious about how they would gel. Their initial meetings had been positive. He seemed much more east going and easy to work with than Riccardo.
Her phone beeped and she took it out of her pocket. It was a text from Seb.
Sebastian: Hey, did you arrive yet? I've been delayed. Plane has bloody mechanical problems. Should be taking off in an hour. X
Nice and friendly. Not a hint of flirtation.
On the spur of the moment she took a photo of the wall and sent to him.
Lily: Yeah I'm here. This wall look familiar? I'll give you a clue...I'm in the same room I was 2 years ago x
She gave a small laugh, then picked the room service menu up off of the bedside table to look through. Joel was working late and Poppy wasn't even here yet so she guessed it would be another lonely dinner for one in front of the television.

Seb opened the text from Lily. He was confused at first over why she'd sent him a photo of a wall. After reading what she'd written though, he soon understood.
Part of him wished he could turn back time to that night, before he'd started losing his heart to her. What could he have done differently though? Maybe he'd always been meant to fall in love with her. Maybe her breaking his heart was karma for the hearts he'd broken.
"I can't wait to get in the air," Antti said from the seat besides him. "I could do with a nap."
Seb thought that he could too but he knew he wouldn't be able to. Lily was on his mind constantly, even more than usual.
