When Lily first woke on the Sunday morning she didn't remember where she was.  She yawned and flung her arm out to cuddle Seb, but her arm moved through empty air and came crashing down onto the empty space on the bed next to her.

"Seb?" she called out, before remembering that Seb wasn't there. In fact, for the first time in what felt like forever, Seb wasn't even in the same country as her. He'd gone back home to Switzerland the previous day after qualifying, and he'd be heading to Zurich that afternoon with Fabian for the Coldplay concert.

Lily smiled to herself. She missed him, it had felt so strange sleeping alone, but she was happy that he was going to be doing something for himself. He'd pretty much dedicated his whole life to her lately and he deserved to relax and have some fun.

She rolled over and picked her phone up off of the bedside table so she could look at the time. It was 7.44, and she noticed that she'd already had a good morning text from Seb.

Sebastian: Good morning Schatz!! Was weird waking up without you, I miss you! Hope you're ok. Good luck for later, I know you won't have much time to stay in touch once you get to the track, but text me when you can. I love you ♥️♥️

Lily smiled again and tapped out a reply.

Lily: I miss you too!! I forgot you weren't here when I first woke up. I'll text you later but if for any reason I don't, I hope you have an amazing time! ♥️♥️

Seb must have had his phone in his hand because hers rang almost instantly. She accepted the call.

"Hey," she greeted him. "Couldn't resist calling huh?"

"Can never pass up the opportunity to hear your voice. Are you up yet?"

"Nah, only woke a few minutes ago."

"No problems sleeping without me then?"

"None whatsoever. I was absolutely beat last night. Didn't get back here til nearly ten. Went round to Daniel's for a few birthday drinks with him and a group of others. Lando, Alex, George, and Max unfortunately." Seb laughed. "He kept making little digs about the Bulls being better than Aston and Ferrari."

"Best way to get at him is to beat him on track."

"Not likely here. The Bulls are in a class of their own. I'd be happy just to stay in third."

"I'm sure you will, and I bet you beat at least one of the Bulls."

"You have to say that. You're my boyfriend." They both laughed. "What time are you leaving for Zurich?"

"About three I think. We're going to have dinner at that Italian place I like in the city before going to the stadium."

"I'm almost jealous."

"You have no need to be. You're going to be scoffing schnitzels."

"Mmmm, schnitzels."

"Anyway, I'm going to have to go. Nicolai will be here in a minute with the Williams."

"All ok with it?"

"Yeah, was just a minor issue."

"Ok, well have fun. And say hi to Fabian for me."

"Will do. Beat those Bulls for me! See you in the morning. I'll make us a birthday breakfast and we can exchange gifts."

"Bold of you to presume I've got you anything," she joked.

"You are all I need. Good luck Schatz. Drive safe, drive fast, kick their arses. Love you!!" The call ended. Lily sighed.

She knew she should get up but she didn't want to. She closed her eyes. Then there was a knock on the bedroom door.
