From the second she walked into the room Seb couldn't take his eyes off of her. She really was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
Dressed in a mid thigh length pale blue dress, her long dark hair cast adding down her back, Lily Scott would have looked as at home on a catwalk as she did in a car cockpit.
Seb knew he should stop staring. He was making it obvious how he felt about her but he couldn't look away.
Lily made a point of not looking at Seb as she arrived a couple of minutes late at the restaurant. If she looked at him she knew she'd be unable to look away and the last thing she needed was Damon jumping to the right conclusion.
She'd almost bailed on the arranged dinner when she'd heard that her brother would be there. The last thing she wanted or needed was an evening with him and his insults.
However, when Seb had texted her to let her know the arrangements she'd been unable resist spending a couple of hours in his company.
She spent far too long getting ready. She wasn't normally the type of woman that spent forever in front of the mirror, she wasn't vain at all.
She may be in a mostly male sport but she was still a woman and she wanted to look her best.
Being the last to arrive, the seats were all taken bar one. Seb stood and pulled out the chair next to him.
"Hey Lily," he greeted her. She smiled at him, and sat down in the space between him and Nico. She smiled at the other German driver and then said hello to the others. They all greeted her apart from Damon, who was thankfully at the other end of the table next to Kimi.
"You look nice." Daniel told her from where he was sat dead opposite her. She thanked him, hoping he was just being polite and not flirting with her. She wasnt ready for any flirting just yet. Unless it's with Seb of course, a little voice inside her head said.
"Can I get you all something to drink?" asked a young waiter, appearing at the head of the table near Nico and Kevin, who was sat oppostite Nico, and next to Daniel.
"I'll just have a beer thanks." Kevin said, and Nico ordered the same. To Lily's surprise, Daniel ordered a large glass of red wine. He hadn't struck her as a wine man.
"I'll have a gin and tonic please," she told the waiter when he looked at her.
"A whisky and coke for me please, " added Seb. The waiter moved on to the others and Seb turned to her.
"Everything ok?" he asked quietly.
"Fine," she replied. The truth was she was far from fine. Liam had texted her today from yet another number. At this rate she'd end up having to change her number, but she didn't see why she should have to. Why couldn't he just get the message that it was over between them? He had his other womn, why couldn't he just be satisfied with her? She didn't want to talk about Liam though. She wanted to enjoy her evening with her fellow drivers.
Picking up her menu, she began to read it. There was a selection of different dishes from around the world, not just the local cuisine. She smiled as she spotted the Italian section, knowing that Seb would probably order from that. She quite fancied some Italian food herself.
By the time the waiter reappeared with their drinks and to take their order she'd decided on lasagne. Seb ordered the pasta carbonara.
"So Lily, you're back on the market?" Daniel asked, grinning at her. His smile was infectious. She smiled back.
"Well, not really," she replied. "It's true that I'm single now, but I'm not looking for anything."
"Neither am I," he replied, winking at her. "Doesn't mean you won't find anything though."
