"Are you sure you don't mind me meeting up with some of the boys for a few games of snooker?" Seb asked Lily as she sat at the kitchen table wrapping up the Chanel perfume she'd bought Heike for Christmas. "You could come with me? Get to know some of your new crew a little bit."

Lily looked up at him and smiled, flicking her braid back over her shoulder.

"Playing snooker isn't really my thing. It's ok, I have some wrapping to do, including your presents. You go. Have fun. You deserve it."

"You'll be ok though? I don't like the idea of leaving you alone now that Joel and Amelia have gone."

"Seb, the security here is top notch. I have CCTV on the gate. I'm not opening it for anyone. I'll be fine. And you're only a phone call away."

Seb sighed. She was right. He knew he was just being over protective, but he couldn't help it. He loved her so much, and couldn't bear the thought of anything happening to her.

"Seb, just go!" Lily said, laughing. Damn, she was so sexy when she laughed. Maybe he should just stay here and fuck her all afternoon.

"I could stay. We could...."

"Go!" Seb laughed. He picked his car keys up from on the table.

"Want me to pick up a Chinese takeaway on the way home?" he asked.

"You'd get recognised," she told him. She had a point.

"Ok, maybe a drive through McDonalds? I can order on the app."

"Sounds good to me. I'll have a Big Mac, no pickle, extra onion, ketchup, fries and a Coke Zero, no ice."

"Text me that. There's no way I'm remembering." Lily laughed.

"Ok." She picked up her phone and tapped out what she wanted and sent it to Seb's phone.

"I will see you later beautiful," he said, leaning down to kiss her goodbye. "I love you."

"Drive carefully!" she told him.  They'd had a few days of snow and although the roads had been cleared she couldn't help worrying.

"I always do," he replied.

Lily sat and watched as he walked out of the kitchen door. A minute later she heard the front door shut behind him.

As much as she adored him she was glad he'd gone out. It would give her a chance to wrap his presents. In the end she'd got him a bottle of DIOR Sauvage, the latest Apple watch, a bottle of Jägermeister, tickets to Coldplay, and a rare Beatles vinyl LP that had been signed by three out of the four Beatles, John Lennon being the exception.

They would be leaving for Germany the following afternoon, so she was running out of time.

She got up and switched the kettle on to make herself a cup of tea.  While waiting for it to boil, she went upstairs and got Seb's presents out of one of the spare rooms where she'd hidden them.

She carried them downstairs and laid them on the kitchen table, then made her tea.

She was just about to start wrapping the Jägermeister when she heard the front door open and close.   Shit! she thought.  Had he forgotten something? She quickly stood up and grabbed her coat off the back of her chair and threw it over the presents.

"What did you forget?" she called out.

"Nothing," came the reply, but to her surprise, the voice that replied was not Seb's.

She heard footsteps coming down the hallway and a very familiar figure stepped into the kitchen.

"Surprise!" exclaimed Damon.  "Merry Christmas sis!"
