Chapter 15 - Anti Cupid

Well we survived the birthday party and it's all she can speak about and I am still floating about it, she was the belle of her own ball and she was so loved and got so many lovely cards and gifts that I wasn't expecting and it took us the best part of a whole day to get through the thank you notes we made, as I always insisted that we said thank you for things like that because it is a blessing to have something like that.

The days had gone past and before I knew it, it was the end of the month and they Anti Valentine's event Fran had been raving about for weeks was happening this evening and given I had been on both sides of love, hating it and wanting it all in the same lifetime but knowing what it was to lose true love and then be scared of ever trying to love again when no one would compare to him.

'Be a good girl for Aunty Ella and Mama will come to pick you up on Sunday baby ' I said as I struggled to let go of the hug I had wrapped around Aera, but she was eager to go and find her Charlie Bestie.

'I be good Mama ....Aunty Ella and Uncle Charlie are taking me to see the Monkeys !!' Aera chirped so happy she was going to be around animals.

'Well.....make sure Aunty Ella doesn't leave Uncle Charlie with the monkeys !' I said sarcastically to which Aera nodded and giggled.

'I HEARD THAT ! Charlie yelled from the back room , to which Ella rolled her eyes as if her secret plan had been foiled.

'YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO!' I yelled back and shook my head.

'BESTIE COME HELP ME !!' Charlie yelled and Aera almost spun on the balls of her feet and darted off down the hallway.

'BYE MAMA LOVE YOU!!' Aera yelled , Mi Mi in arm and disappeared from site and both Ella and I waited to hear if she had run into anything and broken it, but we released a breath when we heard her giggling with Charlie on the couch.

'She will be fine Kitkat, please go and have some grown up time....stick some slap on that face and ....well?' Ella said.

'And well what?' I asked back.

'Well if you got some numbers or even better .....some dick......well its a friday night !' Ella said back and watched my shocked face appear.

'Fuck sake Cuz you have seen a dick before.....obviously !' She again said  pointing down the hallway to the noise of my child.

Yes of course I had seen dick before, more than Ella was ever going to know, and she never knew the whole dark parts of my life where that caused me trauma, but all that aside I am not looking for anything , I had found my life's love and finding anything like that was never on my radar, I don't think I could survive hurt in that capacity again. 

Namjoon was my love, the love I earned and deserved and I couldn't get my mind around feeling like that again, even I can picture him in this very moment in my ear telling me that I needed to grow and love, just like his Brother told him he had to.

'Actually Ella .....it is an Anti Valentine event......lots of bitter single people just laughing at all the loved up people from earlier in the month.....and well that's right up my street !' I said as I made sure I had what I needed in my purse and just shot her a glare.

'Whatever ....I know things ......I can see things cuz ......its like a sixth sense ?' Ella joked.

'Well mystic twat.......we shall see ....but just like those idiots in the papers....you will be wrong' I said sternly to which I got Ella's trademark eye roll in return.

'I will be back around midday on Sunday ....let me know if everything is ok?' I said , still apprehensious to leave.

'She will be fine....Don't worry we will bring you a fridge magne back from the zoo....now go....go have some Kat time......and just be you for a while' Ella said trying to usher me out her door.
