Chapter 34 - Gossip Girl

Time sure flies under normal circumstances when you are off work, but this period has gone fast and slow in equal and confusing measures.

But I was back at work, back with the days having a little more rhythm, but as I sat at the desk it felt a little different.

I wasn't single anymore, I had made a huge life change that no one in this office, so far knew about. I was surrounded by photos, which I knew in time I would have to figure out what to do with, I loved Namjoon, and I still do, but my house and this little corner office are like a living shrine to him, and the countless conversations I had to him in my head took place in those walls, and now I had gone further with Hobi, I needed to strike a balance without feeling like I was watching him die all over again.

But it was new, this feeling, this little wobble I get in my stomach every morning when Hobi texts me and tells me I am beautiful, and all the while is super respectful, I want to jump his bones of course now the flood gates of how I feel have opened, he was like warmth but sultry all in one and it baffled me how I never saw it sooner but I am going to have to let go of that soon, he was my boyfriend and I just want to get this right, but I have to trust him, I have to respect why he won't do anything more than kiss me right now.

'Good morning Fran!' I said when that all familiar tapping of kitten heels tapped the hard floor outside my door and then her little happy face popped around my door.

'Kat......it's so nice to have you back ....now I have a backup!' Fran said sounding relieved and just tottered to my desk and gave me the briefs I would be editing today and of course, a trusty Coffee too which she seemed to never spill, it certainly needed to be a skill she put on her CV, her coffees were amazing.

'I am guessing Toad has been in fine form whilst I was away?' I rolled my eyes but thanked Fran with a friendly smile for the Coffee.

'I swear the man gets more slimy every day .....like an actual toad!' Fran joked to herself.

'I don't worry Fran, I have been psyching myself up for that twat for the past week!' I said as I simultaneously answered emails on my desktop.

'Are you feeling better Kat, Jenson and Charlie said you got a stomach bug?' Fran said with care in her voice which made me feel bad.

'Oh yeah that...well now is as good a time as any...Fran go close the door ...I need to talk to you' I said and Fran hurried and did as I asked.

'Oh shit...we are being fired, aren't we...Oh no!' Fran replied.

'No...No...nothing like that...I have to tell you something and I apologize for leaving it this late but I wanted to do it face to face and not over the phone' I said and just watched Fran's face just drop a little more.

'You are leaving aren't you?' Fran said, her eyes glazing over a little as if she was going to cry.

'Fran nothing is happening to us here...something happened to me and it is a good something, so please don't panic!' I answered.

'Oh?' Fran replied, her pose instantly relaxed and she sat back in the chair on the other side of my desk.

'It has to do with me...I am seeing someone now and I ...I think...I am starting to be happy and he makes me happy!' I said, with the smile Hobi produced in my showing on my face.

'OH MY GOD......holy shit....holy shit......who who!!' Fran squealed with all the excitement of a small child who had just eaten too much sugar.

'Well...it is...Hobi!' I said hesitantly and waited for the inevitable explosion.
