Luna Martinez a Martinez witch rare but powerful even though it seems like it's a blessing it can also be a curse.
Luna has been a witch since birth. Luna hadn't been in Beacon Hills for a long time she left once her powers started kicking in.
Once she decides to move back to Beacon Hills, she learns of an alpha killing innocents and meets new beta Scott McCall along with Derek Hale her former friend Laura Hale's brother who she promised that if anything happened to her that she'd look after him no matter the cost.
Nobody knows the cost of being a Martinez witch more than Luna but there was no way out of her fate at least that's what she thought.

Luna had never thought she would come back to Beacon Hills. In fact, she made a promise not to, but she had missed her cousin Lydia Martin along with the people in it and the town but mostly Lydia.
She'd drop anything just for her the two always got along the best rather they were mikes apart or side by side.
Luna was the only one who Lydia didn't act dumb around. Luna had got a job at the high school as a English teacher. Teaching has been Luna's life and she quite enjoyed it and she planned on it staying that way even in a town full of hunters and werewolves.
Luna had just arrived at the high school when Lydia saw her. "Luna" Lydia yelled before running to her and hugging her smiling.
"You're back" Lydia said. "I'm back" Luna said hugging back. They had pulled away from the hug after a few minutes. "How long are you staying" Lydia asked.
"Well hopefully for good" Luna said. "Really" Lydia asked. "Really" Luna said, and Lydia smiled.
"Get to class I'll stop by after school" Luna said and Lydia nodded before walking off.

"Okay class I am Ms. Martinez some of you know me and some of you don't" Luna said seeing Scott and Stiles in her class seeing they were surprised to see she was back.
"But moving on I am your new English teacher so with that out of the way as you all know there indeed was a body found in the woods last night and if you're like me when I was your age your eager little minds are coming up with various macabre scenarios as to what happened but I am here to tell you that the police have a suspect in custody which means you can give your undivided attention to the syllabus outlining this semester which I had put on your desk right in front of you" Luna said.
Suddenly the vice principal walked in with Allison and Luna looked up.
"Class this is our new student Allison Argent" the vice principal said, and Luna had recognized the last name immediately.
"Please do your best to make her feel welcome" the vice principal said before leaving. Allison had sat behind Scott who had gave her a pen. "We'll begin with Kafka's Metamorphosis on page 133" Luna said.

After school had ended and Luna had finished all her classes for the day, she had gone to go see Lydia. She had knocked on the door and saw Natalie. "Luna" Natalie said smiling.
"Hey Natalie, good to see you" Luna said. "Come on in" Natalie said and Luna did as Natalie closed the door behind her before giving Luna a quick hug.
"You're back" Natalie said. "Yes at least I hope for it to stay that way" Luna said and Natalie smiled.
"Lydia, Luna is here" Natalie yelled up to her. "Have you seen Lydia" Natalie asked.
"Just on my first day of teaching" Luna said and Natalie nodded. "Well, I know she's happy your back you were always her favorite cousin" Natalie said and Luna smiled.
Lydia then walked down and saw Luna. "Hey Lyds" Luna said. "Luna" Lydia said going to her.
"Why don't you girls go see a movie or something you know catch up" Natalie said. "You sure" Luna asked.
"Positive" Natalie said. "I'm game if you are" Luna told Lydia.
"Sure, let's go" Lydia said. "Be back soon" Luna said and she and Lydia left to catch up some before Luna had to take her home for the night as tomorrow was a school night.
