Luna was in her classroom grading some papers when Lydia walked in. "There's my favorite cousin" Luna said, and Lydia smiled.
"What are you doing here" Luna asked. "I wanted to see you" Lydia said and Luna nodded. "Like after school isn't enough and Lydia gave her a look. "I'm kidding" Luna said.
"Better be" Lydia said. "You know I am I couldn't live without you, you know that" Luna said. "Hey thanks for saving us back there" Lydia said.
"All I did was call the police" Luna said. "I know but if you hadn't, we probably wouldn't be alive" Lydia said. "It's my job" Luna said.
"I know it just seems you're always putting my life before yours" Lydia said. "What do you mean" Luna asked. "Just some things I've noticed when we were younger" Lydia said. "Like what" Luna asked.
"Like when I nearly got hit by that car and you pushed me out of the way and then that time there was this guy who got out of prison and was about to kill me and you quickly rushed in front of me before you somehow made him go unconscious and like today how you were rushing to save me even though you knew you would probably die from it" Lydia said.
"You're my cousin I'll always look out for you besides it's my job as your older cousin you know" Luna said.
"I know but I just wish you would put yourself first once in a while you know explore the world or better yet romance meet someone new" Lydia said. "The guys here are pigs" Luna said. "Okay I can't argue with that" Lydia said.
"Besides if I'm not protecting my little cousin who am I" Luna said. "Hey, I got you something" Luna said and gave Lydia a box.
"A box" Lydia said. "Open it" Luna said and Lydia did. "A bracelet it's beautiful but it's not my birthday" Lydia said. "I know I just wanted to give you something" Luna said. "Okay but why" Lydia asked.
"No reason but just know whenever you wear that and if something happens to me, I want you to know I'm always with you no matter the distance between us" Luna said.
"Thanks Luna, I love it" Lydia said. "I'm glad now get to class before your late" Luna said and Lydia left.

Luna had gone home after work and turned on the lights but when she turned around, she saw Derek and screamed.
"Geez you scared me" Luna said. "You're a Martinez witch" Derek said. "Shut up before I snap your neck" Luna said. "How'd you get in" Luna asked.
"Spare key under the mat" Derek said. "Right tonight's a full moon" Luna said. "I'm aware" Derek said.
"You gonna look for Scott" Luna asked. "I still need his help" Derek said.
"Even after what he did" Luna asked. "Yes, even then rather you want to admit it or not we need him" Derek said.
"I know but I'm still angry at him" Luna said. "And your allowed to be just don't kill him he is still one of your cousin's friends" Derek said.
"I know, I know" Luna said and went to put her things away. "Remember to lock the door on your way out" Luna yelled to Derek.
