Mysterion yawned as the early morning sunshine lit up the sky, the light stirring him from his slumber. He'd been up most of the night looking over Pip, but had fallen asleep a bout an hour before the sun rose. Frowning at the stiffness in his legs and ass, Mysterion stretched out his back, wincing as it clicked at him. He slowly shifted to move Pip's head off his legs and staggered to his feet, groaning as more audible clicks shot through his body.

The hero stretched out fully now and his gaze met Pip's sleeping form. He suspected the Brit would be out for a couple more hours so decided to go get some breakfast for him. A flask of tea and a pastry sounded good right now.

After popping to a nearby cafe to obtain these items, the vigilante found his way back to his house. If he was going to be spending the day with Pip he couldn't really go out in his full costume, could he?

Throwing his outfit into the bottom of his wardrobe, Kenny pulled on a plain black t-shirt, red scarf and dark jeans. He then threw on a navy blue trenchcoat belonging to his brother and readjusted Mysterion's hood on his head so it would still protect his identity. Happy with his work, he jumped out the window and ran back to the alley.

Pip was still asleep when he got back there so Mysterion ate his breakfast and waited for him to wake up. About an hour passed and Pip finally began to stir. He yawned and stretched out his arms and legs, looking a bit like a sleepy kitten. He opened his eyes and sat up, spotting an oddly dressed Mysterion still sitting nearby. His mouth dropped open in surprise. "M-Mysterion?"

"Morning sleepyhead."

"Y-You... you're still here!" he squeaked, hugging the blanket self-consciously.

"Very observant of you."

"H-Have you been here all night?"

"Yep."

"B-But it's the daytime!"

"I know."

Pip rubbed sleep out of his eyes. He figured he was still dreaming because there was no way in hell that Mysterion was still standing in his alley right now. He rubbed them again and found the hero still there.

"Oh! Okay... You're actually-"

"-here? You're not dreaming, pal."

"I can see that now!" he rubbed the back of his neck. "N-Not that I dream about you or anything!" he rubbed his head, "I don't really have dreams." he bit his lip, pushing his frequent nightmares to the back of his mind. "Why are you dressed like that?"

"So I don't attract as much attention."

"You wish to protect your identity."

"Yes. It's safer this way."

"O-Okay."

"And since we'll be spending the day together, this is the best way to go about things."

Pip's mouth dropped open. "You... huh?"

"You had a shit day yesterday. I'm not letting you back to school until I know you're feeling well enough to."

"B-But what about you?"

Mysterion smiled. "I'm on top of my grades. I can afford a day off." he lied.

Pip rubbed his eyes. "Y-You actually want to spend time with me? Are you sure? I mean... huh?" he tilted his head in confusion.

Mysterion patted his head. "I do."

"Well... t-thank you!" Pip smiled, bowing his head. He really hadn't been looking forward to spending another day alone again after what had happened so this was a pleasant surprise. More than pleasant, in fact. Overwhelming. But he was still worried about not attending school. What if someone needed him?
