"I can't believe you left me in your closet."

"I said I was sorry, didn't I?" Kenny moaned, running his fingers through her raven hair.

"You're lucky your sister found me in there." she sniffed. "After freeing me she invited me to play tea party with her so ultimately the experience was worthwhile." Wendy informed him with a heartfelt smile.

Kenny smiled back. "Karen doesn't really get chance to play with our mama so she would have appreciated spending time with you. Thanks."

"It was nothing. How was Pip?"

Kenny shifted on the bed, adjusting his position as Wendy lay next to him. "He was... okay, I guess. Stan and the others being there freaked him out a little bit I think, but I reassured him that everything was going to be alright and I think that helped a bit."

"You're a good friend, Kenny." Wendy rested her head on his chest. "I wish I could be more like you. Pip's still scared of me and he has every reason to be. I could have helped him years ago."

"Wendy, you didn't know about all that."

"I knew enough, though. I saw the way Clyde and the others treated him and I did nothing. My position was too important to me to do anything, but in hindsight that was dumb as fuck. I don't even care about my position now."

"What other positions do you care about?" Kenny asked dryly, earning himself a light punch to the chest.

"Is that the only thing you care about?" Wendy huffed, crossing her arms. "Men!"

"That's probably last on my list of things I care about the most." Kenny pondered.

"Oh? Then what's number 1?"

"Karen."

"Yeah?"

"Then it's a tiebreaker between you and Pip because you're both equals in my eyes. I started talking to you both around the same time and I like you for different reasons."

"I think you should like Pip more than me though." she stated.

"Why?" Kenny quizzed.

Wendy turned over on her side to face him. "I'm not a good person, but Pip is, and he needs you more than I do. He's going through a horrible time at the moment and needs all of the support he can get and I think he's found that in you."

"He needs a motherly figure. That should be you."

Wendy snorted. "Are you saying we should adopt Pip?"

Kenny chuckled. "Yeah. We'd be like a real family. I'd be a dad. Ew."

"Don't you want kids then?" she turned into him.

Kenny shrugged. "I don't know. I'm too young to even be thinking about wanting them yet. I don't know though. I don't consider me as a fatherly type. Plus I didn't really have a great role model from the start and I'd die if I ever turned out like him."

"I'm sure you wouldn't. You control your own actions and can forge your own path in life."

"That was deep."

Wendy giggled. "Well, I try."

"Do you want kids?"

"Eventually, I think, but I want to focus on my career first." she replied.

"I'd expect nothing less from you."

"I know."

"Cool."

Their conversation faded out and Wendy started to drift off to sleep as she soaked up his warmth.
