Part Five: The Boat

"You sure you ain't got even a tiny crush?" Steph teases you.

"Okay maybe! She's really... ahem coffee?" You say and go to lift your coffee but realise Victoria knocked it over when she tackled you. "Shit.." you whisper. "You like Chloe! You like Chloe!" Steph chants so you cover her mouth with your hand. "Shut up or I'll go around telling everyone you have a crush on Rachel. Or even better I'll tell Rachel." You say and look at Steph. "Fine. I can't believe you like Chloe." Steph says and smirks drinking her coffee. "Can I have a sip?" You ask Steph. "Of Chloe. Yeah. My coffee. No." Steph says and drinks her coffee. You go red at the thought and your eyes widen which makes Steph laugh.

"And on that note I'm going to go early to lesson." You say and grab your bag. "Okay. You seeing the tempest tonight?" Steph asks you quickly. "Yeah I've had my tickets for a week." You laugh and smile. "Great. I'll show you the back stage before the play if you want." Steph offers. "That would be awesome!" You say getting hyped. "Okay I'll see you after class. Wanna go to the two whales dinner for lunch again?" You ask before leaving. "Sure. Leave I've got no lessons to prep for the play so go!" Steph shoos you. You smile and walk to your science lesson.

(Time skip to after science)

Your phone starts buzzing non stop so you have to open the messages.

(You start reading the messages)

Chloe Price

Chloe: "hey if Victoria start anything in science I'm serious gonna kill her."

Chloe: "oh hey. Meet me in the junkyard for your lunch break."

Chloe: "so I've been expelled that's fun. But at least Rachel's still doing the play"

Chloe: "I'm boredddd come skip."

"jeez spamming my phone while I was in science? Clingy much?":You

Chloe: "just get your short ass to the junkyard."

"I got an exam next period":You

Chloe: "I forgot your to innocent to come skip."

"you're an asshole. I'll be there in 15 minutes.":You

Chloe: "good girl. Hurry."

(You put your phone away)

You feel yourself blushing so you cover your face in embarrassment. "Fuck!" You say to yourself. You grab your things and head to the junkyard.

(Time skip to at the junkyard)

Chloe smirks seeing you come into the junkyard. "Wasn't actually thinking you'd skip. I'm proud." Chloe says with a smug smirk on her face. "Well to bad. I'm here. Why?" You ask and cross your arms. "Right. So. My moms kinda let this step douche into our lives so I'm gonna cramp out here in the junkyard. Could you maybe help me get things to live with these?" Chloe asks and looks at you. "Your moms nice why leave her?" You ask. "Because she brought a asshole into our home." Chloe says annoyed. "Is this a new boyfriend?" You squint your eyes trying to figure out the reason.

"Yes, now will you help me?" Chloe asks trying to keep her temper down. "Maybe. What's in it for me?" You ask and tilt your head. "You can hang out here too." Chloe says trying to convince you. "Fine I didn't need anything I was gonna help you anyway." You smirk and laugh at her.

Chloe rolls her eyes. You raise an eyebrow and tilt your head while looking at Chloe. "Why you angry shorty?" Chloe asks noticing you. You don't say anything and keep looking at her like that. Chloe stands right in front of you so you look up at her and she shows she's taller by gesturing with her hand the hight difference.
"You're so mean." You cross your arms and squint your eyes at her. "I know shorty." Chloe says and lifts up your chin which makes you panic and blush. Chloe notices and smirks so she leans in. "Later shorty." Chloe whispers and pushes you back gently.

"OH MY GOD!" You shout and get angry. "That was so funny." Chloe laughs and grabs her chest it was to funny. "You're a asshole." You say angry. "Aww don't be mad. You knew I was mean from the start." Chloe says and smirks. "We'll anyway let's do something else." You say trying to change the subject. "Want to help me make my sweet ride?" Chloe asks and raises her eyebrow. "So your car? What do you need?" You ask and look at Chloe serious. "You get a light and sometimes to cover the springs. I'll get the rest." Chloe says and shows you the almost intact truck she found. "Okay. Later amigo." You salut as a joke and go to find something to cover the rust springs and a light.

You find a old beach towel which is a faded rainbow colour pretty quickly but you struggle to find a bulb. You walk past this old boat which you admire for a good ten minutes before Chloe comes by. "Wanna climb it?" Chloe asks with a smirk. "Hell ya!" You smirk back. "Okay on you knees." Chloe says. You freeze thinking about it. "Not like that dummy." Chloe says and slaps your shoulder to get you back into tense. "So I can use you as a step up there." Chloe adds and laughs at what you thought.

You get down like she said and Chloe steps on your back to get the the top of the ship. "That wasn't so hard was it?" Chloe says and laughs. "Gonna help me up then?" You ask and put your hand up so Chloe can pull you up. "Why should I?" Chloe says and smirks. "Because I'm your friend?" You ask. "Nah I'm good." Chloe smirks more. "Okay! Help me up and I'll give you a dollar!" You say desperately wanting to be up there. Chloe gives in and helps you up. "Thank you." You say and smack off any dust you got from being brought up the boat. Chloe doodles a pirate map on some scrap metal, "what do you think?" Chloe asks and looks at the map. "I think your childish." You laugh. "How rude of you. And my mom called you polite." Chloe says joking back, You smile at her.

"Can we go up there?" You point to the top of the boat. "Let's try." Chloe says and takes your hand while jumping on a crate. You blush a bit because of the hand holding and try to stop but you can't control it. Chloe manages to get up there and helps you up. You both admire the view, minus the fire burning down the trees before them.

"This is beautiful.." you keep your eyes on the view. Chloe looks at you then her hands with writing all over them. "Yeah. It is." She smiles down at her hands. "We should get to fixing up that car." Chloe says brushing off something off her shirt. "Oh yeah. Right. Gotta find that bulb." You say and smile at Chloe. Chloe looks into your eyes and smiles back at you. "Let's go." You nod you head and jump off the top of the boat then back down. "Right. See you back at the truck!" Chloe says and nods.

"You got it captain Price." You say still seeing Chloe on the boat. Chloe chuckles and jumps off. You go find a abandoned robot toy with a shiny blue bulb then go find a red bulb from a snake cage. You bring them both to the trunk. "Which one of the shiny bulbs shall we use captain price?" You say in a pirate like voice. "Okay cut out the voice. It's weird and funny, I kinda used to want to be a pirate." Chloe says and smiles. "Aw that's sweet. Okay seriously which bulb?" You say and look at the bulbs.

"I'll put the blue bulb in and save the red for a spare." Chloe says and attaches the bulb to the wire. Chloe opens the glove box and a beanie was in there. "What's this?" Chloe says and slides in to check it out. "Oh that's cute." You say leaning through the window. Chloe tried the beanie on. "What do you think?" Chloe asks and smiles at you. "Punk ass." You say and laugh at her. Chloe puts the spare bulb away and placed the welcome mat she found on the hole in the floor. "Taxi for y/n. Are you y/n?" Chloe says as a joke. "Yeah." You say. "Hop in." Chloe says and pulls her beanie down a bit. "Thanks." You laugh at her because she's being a dork.

"Where too?" Chloe asks with the beanie over her eyes. "Ummmm. The two whales diner." You say as a joke. "Okay that'll be seven fifty my lady." Chloe says and put her beanie on right. "Oh thank you kind sir." You laugh about. You and Chloe make eye contact once again... the tension starts to build up but then-
