Gap-Fill Story Five: Chrismas With The In-laws

You and Chloe are in her truck, you're singing out the window to "it's the most wonderful time of the year" as Chloe rolls her eyes and smiles at your cuteness. In the back was this five and a half foot tall Christmas tree that Chloe had cut down herself which made her quite full of herself.

"I must be strong you know?" Chloe chuckles as you're still in your own little word singing the song out the car window. "Babe." Chloe taps you. "Yeah?" You ask not remembering what she had just said. "Never mind dumbass." Chloe shakes her head and puts her beanie on your head weakly so she could still focus on the road. You fixed the hat before laying your head on her shoulder.

This was the first Christmas you would be celebrating together and both sides of the family would be together. "You helping me with the tree when we get in?" Chloe asks taking the last turn to her road. "Of course, help me put the star on the top?" You ask back. "Who said you were doing the star? I always do the star." Chloe says. "But baby." You pull a face before adding "please baby? This is the first Christmas without my dad."

"Too bad love, it's negotiable. Can I have your Yorkshire pudding?" Chloe asks. "Fuck no they are amazing!" You respond. "Then no." Chloe replied. "Ugh you're no fun." You roll your eyes. "What about... you can have my pigs in blankets?" You offer. "I'll think about it." Chloe chuckles, not giving you a definite answer just to annoy you more because she liked to annoy you. You punch her playfully and watch out the window to all the lit up homes covered in blankets of snow and Christmas cheer.

You finally get to Chloe's house and see David in the funniest ugly Christmas jumper that had a huge Rudolph with the big red nose covering most of the sweater with a big bare ass on the back, which he was not aware of. You chuckle and laugh as Chloe throws a snowball at the back of his head.

"watch it Chloe." David rubs his head as his jumper lightly up. "Who crawled up your ass? I see it's big enough you got it showing from the back." Chloe sniggers after making a comment because she brought him the jumper. David looks and gets embarrassed so he storms back into the house. "Don't get grounded baby if you do you know the new rule.. I can't stay over." You say and hold onto her for the warmth.

"Yeah yeah. It's just fun to piss him off babe." She responds and fixes the beanie on your head before kissing your forehead. "Wanna make some snow angels later?" Chloe asks and gets you in quickly to keep you warm. "Yeah sure love. What do you wanna do now?" You ask and take your shoes off so they can dry. "Umm.. why don't we go watch some Christmas movies?" Chloe says and straightens her stained, hole ridden hoodie.

Joyce notices Chloe's hoodie. "No. No way are you wearing that to the first family meal. Go get changed." Joyce shoos Chloe and makes her go change. "Really mom? Me and y/n already went and brought me a new shirt to wear for the meal. And please it's just y/n's mom and her boyfriend with Rachel." Chloe explains.

"Oh yeah babe i forgot to say that Rachel is celebrating with us while her parents went to NewYork. It's their punishment to her because of her still keeping contact with sera." Chloe says in an annoyed tone. "Honestly I don't know why she still puts up with them.." she adds annoyed. A second later Rachel bursts in with a plastic sled.

"Y/n! Chloe! Race you down the road!" Rachel shouts then runs back out. "Fine go on." Joyce rolls her eyes as you and Chloe run out after her.

Chloe's house was on a slightly slanted road and because of the show barely anybody used the road which was covered in snow and some layers of thin ice, perfect for sledding down. "So I call your girlfriend because there is no way I'm letting her near your trash lid." Rachel says and laughs at Chloe's idea to use a trash lid as a sled. You and Rachel use her sled and glide down the road like a canoe on a rapids as Chloe struggles because of the handle digging up the ice and show as she sled down.
