~*~ Four Months Later ~*~
Jade grunted as she hit the canvas bag and sent it flying across the room. She'd improved more in the last three weeks than the entire time she'd been here. She was desperate to begin recruiting people for the rebellion she needed to initiate.
When Jordan walked into the shed, she picked up the punching bag and hooked it into the ceiling again then made a hurried escape. Her feelings for Jordan had been stronger and more prominent since arriving here, after their first night.
Every night since then, Jade had kept Jordan company while they slept, so that he wouldn't be plagued by the dreams every night. But their interaction in the night seemed so intimate that she was unsure how to act with him in the daylight.
"Jade!" Jordan called out to her.
She stopped walking and turned, "Yes?"
"Please, just stay."
"Jordan, I-"
"Please, Jade. I have to talk to you."
Jade sighed and made her way slowly back over to him. "What's up?"
"Why have you been avoiding me?" He asked her.
"I haven't," She lied, "I've just been busy."
Jordan seemed to think for a moment before he nodded. "Oh okay. Busy. Right." Jade breathed a sigh of relief and turned to leave. "You know I have feelings for you, Jade!" He called after her, causing her to stop again. "Why are you lying to me?" He'd approached her from behind and when Jade turned around, he was standing only a foot in front of her.
"Because," She said, opting for the truth instead, "I don't know how to deal with this. I haven't felt like this for anyone else before and I'm too worried about this little uprising to think about it too often." She explained.
"Then don't think." Said Jordan, before he closed the gap between them and claimed her lips with his own. He wrapped his strong arms around her slender waist and held her to him. Jade placed her hands on his shoulders and kissed back with a long supressed desire and longing.
When they broke apart, Jade still stood in Jordan's embrace, breathing heavily and smiling widely. In his arms she felt delicate and small, like a precious flower that could be crushed with the slightest pressure.
The two stood there for what seemed an eternity, but eventually they pulled away and Jade jogged around the dam, a smile still playing on her lips. She wasn't sure how this would end, or even if she would live through the war, but she knew that she was happy now and to her, that was more important than any revenge she could have.
Okay! Things are heating up! I needed to add some Jaden in there or people were going to forget this is a romance as well! Haha, anyway, vote and comment please! <3
