Morning came the next day, rays of sunshine falling over Diane's face as she slowly woke up. The burning was gone, replaced by a soreness that ached through her whole body. She looked down to see Ominis' arm wrapped around her waist possesively, looking over to see him still sleeping.
What had happened last night? She didn't even know how she'd ended up in the living room, flashes of images coming through her mind. She remembered feeling hot, standing in the doorway. She'd seen Sebastian, their eyes had met, and... it went blank. A flash of feeling him against her, his hand gripping her rear as they kissed, feeling how hard he was against her thigh as she looked down into dark eyes.
"Shit." She whispered softly. What had she done? Had she even been the one to do it? This was so confusing.
Ominis stirred behind her and she turned around in his embrace to face him, reaching up to brush his wild hair from his cheek. He looked tired, and- she spotted a mark against his neck, a red mark, and blushed deeply. Had she done that?! And another- against his chest.
She put her hands over her face in embarrassment. She didn't even remember doing that! She made a soft noise of agony, wondering what people would think when they saw that. It would be so obvious!
Ominis slowly opened his eyes at the sound she'd made, letting out a soft yawn as he stretched in bed, curling up around her drowsily.
"Ominis..." she looked up to him, brushing her fingers through his hair to try and wake him more.
"Mmmm something smells good." He said huskily against her shoulder.
He was right, she could smell something good cooking, from the smell of it, bacon and eggs. Sebastian must be cooking it. Oh god how was she even going to look him in the eyes after last night? She was so embarrassed!
"We have to wake up, Ominis." Diane said softly. "We have to figure out what happened."
Ominis' eyes shot open again, remembering what had happened last night. His eyes glowed and pulsed as he immediately went to look at her, but sighed with relief when he saw she was back to normal, the glow fading quickly. "I'm glad you're alright." He said softly, brushing his fingers across her cheek gently. "You scared me, sweet."
"I don't even know what happened. It felt like my magic went crazy." She frowned. Why had her magic done that? How had her magic done that? It was a bit scary to think it could just take her over like that.
"It seemed like something was influencing you." He said thoughtfully. "You went after Sebastian for some reason, and when I took you off him you jumped me instead."
She covered her face in embarrassment again, moaning in agony. "I promise that wasn't me, Ominis, I swear-"
"I know." He said softly, reaching forward and feeling her hands over her face, gently taking them away to hold them. "It didn't seem like you, until partway through."
She looked down anxiously, "what does this mean, though? I don't like that something is trying to influence me. How do I know it won't happen again?"
"We'll just have to deal with it at the time, Diane. We'll try and figure things out, but there's no use fretting about it."
Diane looked away, thinking that was easier said than done.
"Breakfast is ready!" Sebastian yelled from the kitchen.
"Come on, let's get something to eat, and we'll talk about it." Ominis said, getting up and groaning when he was sore. "Goddamn." He whispered, letting out a soft sigh before standing up to get dressed.
—————-
Diane walked out into the kitchen after getting dressed, her hair tied up behind her to try and keep it tamed. Sebastian had already put plates out, and was currently serving eggs on each one when their eyes caught.
