Sebastian paced through the house the next day while Ominis and Diane were out getting food for dinner.
He needed to tell her. He knew he did... and after last night, and that look Ominis had given him... the hint that it might be okay... he wanted to talk to him first. He needed to make sure it was alright. He needed to make sure he didn't mess this up.
He wasn't good at this stuff though! He was good at fighting. He was good at defending. He was good at getting things done. He wasn't good at talking about feelings. That was Ominis!
He growled in frustration and gripped his hair as he struggled with what to do next, continuing to pace around. He felt restless, he needed to do something. He wanted to fight something, someone, somewhere.
He stopped in his tracks, a wild excited look on his face. The duel. That had been what had gotten him before with Diane, that's what he'd do now! It was way easier to express himself after that. He would challenge Ominis to a duel, just like old times in the Undercroft. Perfect!
He waited impatiently until they got home, and as soon as Ominis came in the door Sebastian rounded on him.
"We need to talk." He said quickly, his eyes intense.
"W-what-" Ominis was take off guard by the sudden intensity, flustered by how close he suddenly was.
"Sebastian, it's going to rain soon-" Diane started, but Sebastian grabbed Ominis' hand, all but dragging him outside.
"Don't care! We need to talk, so I want to duel." He said hurriedly.
"Duel?!" Ominis scoffed. "You want to duel me? Why not Diane?"
"Because it's you I want to talk to right now." Sebastian said in a growl.
Ominis blushed at that, hearing Diane chuckle as he was dragged outside.

"Sebastian this is ridiculous, why can't we just talk like normal people?" Ominis shouted as Sebastian stood across from him at ten paces.
"This is easier!" He yelled back. "I'm not good at talking!"
"And you think I am?" Ominis said in disbelief. "UGH, fine you violence gremlin, we'll fight." He rolled his eyes, raising his wand as he let his eyes glow brightly with his wand-sight. It might blow off some steam, anyway. He was riled up and annoyed, his emotions in utter turmoil from everything he was dealing with. Some venting would do them both good.
"So what is it you wanted to talk about?" He yelled, waiting for Sebastian to cast the first spell. He blocked it easily, watching him warily for when the telltale glow of his wand would signal another spell cast. It was his secret tell that he had because of his wand-sight.
"I want to tell Diane!" Sebastian said, casting a combo of spells at Ominis, sending him staggering back as he blocked them.
"Then tell her, you stupid oaf!" Ominis yelled in frustration, jealousy eating at his gut.
"I wanted to make sure it's good with you first." Sebastian growled, sending more combos his way.
"What, so you don't double dip?" Ominis growled. He was getting annoyed that all Sebastian ever seemed to focus on was Diane. Diane Diane Diane. He understood why of course, she was amazing, but he loved him too!
"No! You said-" he faltered, wincing as Ominis' spell caught his arm. He growled angrily that he'd faltered and blasted more spells out. "You looked like you expected us to both be able to have her!"
"What, so share her?" Ominis shouted.
"YES!" Sebastian yelled in frustration, sending a strong confringo toward Ominis.
