The next day Sebastian was on his way to his next exam when he heard footsteps running down the hallway. At first he thought it was Diane- she was usually the only one running through halls toward something- but looked over when they rounded the corner and saw Anne running toward him with a huge grin on her face.
"Sebastian!" She shouted from down the hall. "Sebastian Sebastian! You won't believe it!"
He saw how excited she was and had a guess what this was about, waiting for her as he smiled warmly. "What is it, Anne? You're so excited."
"Look!" Anne held up her hand in his face, pointing to her ring finger.
Sebastian let out a small laugh of disbelief, grabbing her hand and staring in shock. It was strange because he'd known this was exactly what she was running to him for, but somehow seeing it was entirely different. It was a silver ring, with a bright green gem, and damn Weasley was a sly dog because that was perfect for Anne.
"That's amazing, Anne." He said, a bit embarrassed because his voice broke with emotion. His sister was getting married... she was getting what she thought she'd never have.
"Oh don't start! I'm emotional enough as it is!" Anne said with a wavering voice as well. "You're such a big sap sometimes, bro." She knocked him in the arm with a hard punch that made him grunt and laugh.
"I can hardly help it, my twin sister is getting married!" He laughed happily. "Have you thought about the wedding at all?"
Anne nodded, tears coming to her eyes despite her bravado. "I want to have it in Feldcroft. On that overlook by the bay."
Sebastian let out a little noise. "The one mom and dad got married at?"
Anne nodded happily, a smile on her face as she wiped away tears. "I think that would... it would mean they were kind of there too, right?"
Sebastian couldn't hold back a soft choking sound at that, hugging Anne tight at the thought. He chuckled weakly when she started crying against him, smiling as her hormones got the best of her again. Poor Anne, she usually hated crying in front of anyone- even him- but she'd been doing it so much lately.
He brought her further to the side of the hallway toward one of the alcoves so they could have a bit more privacy, sitting her down on the bench there so she could calm down.
"Look at us. So pathetic." He joked with a small laugh as he wiped his eyes.
"A couple of sentimental morons." Anne agreed with a laugh of her own. She looked up to him with a smile and shook her head. "It's still so hard to believe, Sebastian. After thinking for so long it was impossible..."
"I know, Anne." He said, putting a hand on top of her head affectionately. "I'm so happy for you. Really, I am. Garreth is a great guy, and he treats you well. He really loves you to death, that's for sure."
Anne gave another little sob. "I'm so glad you think that, Sebastian. I really am. I was so worried you'd be upset with him."
"Admittedly... I was at first. He knocked up my sister." He said quietly so no one else would hear. Anne was able to hide her pregnancy pretty easily so far until graduation... and after graduation it wouldn't matter as much. "But Diane and Ominis helped me realize that this is good for you two. I just want you to be happy, sis."
"I am... I'm so happy." She said softly, taking one of Sebastian's hands in hers. "What about you? Have you... thought of getting more serious?" She looked up to him curiously.
"I have." He smiled, blushing a bit when she gasped. "I... I want a way for both of them to be with me. It's complicated, but I think I figured out a way to make it work."
