Sebastian led Ominis back into the alley beside the house after saying goodbye to Alice and Penelope. He noticed the little smirk Alice gave him as they left, trying not to feel flustered or snap at them defensively. He felt so self conscious about this...
Instead of holding his wrist like he always did he opted to take Ominis' hand as he led him, something that wasn't missed. It made Ominis blush and give a happy little smile as he was led along down the street and into the damp alleyway.
"Diane was searching frantically for you." Sebastian explained. "I want to get back before she gets it in her head to go out looking for you again."
"Wait, she was frantic?" Ominis said in worry.
"She hasn't eaten or slept much since you left." Sebastian said in a strained tone. "I'm not good at reassuring her like you are."
Ominis felt a pit of worry in his stomach that Diane had suffered so much while he was gone. "Let's apparate back then."
"To the coast?" Sebastian asked, since that was the easiest spot for them to both focus on.
"Sure." Ominis nodded.
After returning to Feldcroft Ominis was able to take his wand out, running up the hill after Sebastian as he hurried to get back. He opened the door and looked around, but didn't see her anywhere in the living room parlor or kitchen. He opened the bedroom door more gently and let out a deep sigh of relief. She was still asleep.
"Go ahead." He motioned for Ominis to go in. "She was pretty angry with me, so it'll be good for you to see her."
"Angry?" Ominis asked quietly.
"I wouldn't tell her what happened." Sebastian said quietly, looking away guiltily. "I... didn't really know what to think of it at the time. You have to admit, it was pretty surprising."
"To you." Ominis gave a wry grin. "For me it's been a long time coming."
Sebastian blushed a bit from that and let out a frustrated scoff, pushing him a bit toward the door in a motion for him to go in.
Ominis chuckled softly and went into the bedroom, letting his wand-vision flare to his eyes as he looked down at Diane. He frowned immediately at how tired she looked despite the fact she was sleeping. She really had been frantic.
Her hair was tangled and had debri in it, and she was sleeping in her clothes. He let out a soft sound of concern, sitting on the bed next to her and running his hand gently along her cheek to wake her up softly.
"Sweet, wake up." He whispered, watching her head shift in his vision before she seemed to focus on him.
"Ominis?" She whispered as if she could hardly believe it.
"Hello, love." He smiled warmly.
Diane cried out and leapt up to hug him, holding him tight and sending them both flying off the bed to the floor.
He smiled as he held her tight, wrapping himself around her as if to cocoon her as she cried against him. "I'm sorry I left... so much happened, and I got scared. Then I was trapped in London with no way back."
"London?" She said in surprise through her tears, looking up at him. "Why were you in London?"
"I-It's a long story, sweetie." He said in embarrassment.
"Then tell me. Get started now." She insisted.
He let out a soft sigh, but she deserved an explanation. "Sebastian wanted to talk, so we had thst duel, and I got very emotional and... uh... I kissed him." Ominis flushed deeply.
