(Puts Golden Hour by JVKE on repeat)
I've been looking forward to this chapter for a long time.
Sebastian- Not Alone by Red
————————
Ominis held Diane's hand as they walked up the path to the cliffside, Sebastian following close behind them. The wind blew salted sea breeze into the air around them, making Diane's skirts billow around her legs.
"You know, I don't think we've been here all at once, yet." Sebastian said thoughtfully as he looked out over the sunset.
Ominis thought for a moment and realized he was right. When Sebastian had been here with him before it was when they were looking for Diane. "Even better." He said softly.
Sebastian looked over to him with a flustered expression, and then glanced to Diane who was looking out at the sunset with a gentle smile. She looked beautiful in the setting sun, the fading light making her features seem softer, her bright red hair waving in the breeze. Her freckles made her even more pretty, spread out across her cheeks and shoulders. He wondered where else she had freckles.
She caught him looking at her, their eyes meeting before he blushed and looked away to pretend nothing had happened. Her heart was beating faster, watching Sebastian for a moment as his hair whipped around wildly in the wind.
She looked over when Ominis let go of her hand, carefully navigating the ground to stand in front of them.
"I want you two to talk." He said softly. He reached forward, grabbing one of both of their hands, and setting them together. "Please."
They both looked to Ominis in shock, Diane opening her mouth to say something, but nothing seemed to come out.
"Are you sure?" Sebastian asked urgently.
"Yes." Ominis said quietly. "I love you both, in your own ways. I know how you both feel. We can't be a true family unless we're all honest with each other." He let his hands leave theirs, so that Sebastian's was holding Diane's. "I want this. I want us to all be together. We need each other."
Diane blushed at the sight of her hand in Sebastian's and looked back to Ominis earnestly. "I don't want you to-"
"It's fine." He insisted, leaning down to kiss her gently. "It's fine." He whispered against her mouth.
She looked over to Sebastian, who seemed just as shocked that this was happening. His eyes let hers, and he gave a nervous gulp as he gave one last look to Ominis.
Ominis let his vision flare to his eyes, and smiled at the sight in front of him. He urged Sebastian with a small wave of his hand to go on.
"I-I'm not good with this kind of thing." Sebastian said softly, looking back to Diane nervously. Somehow... it seemed to help that Ominis was here for this. He had always supported him, always tried to help him in whatever endeavors he had done. Now he was here for this too. It made his heart feel so full, to know that he might have both of them to support him. He'd always thought he'd have to be strong on his own. To be though and take care of others.
"Diane," he held her hand in his gently, turning toward her. He reached down and took her either hand as well. She looked so beautiful right now it took his breath away. "I..." he started, but he struggled to find the words. He had thought about this for almost a year, yet now that it was here he couldn't seem to think of all the things he'd wanted to say.
"I've felt something for you ever since that first day we met." He said softly. "I'd never met someone like you. Fierce, beautiful, powerful but gentle and soft. I..." he let out a soft breath as he steeled himself to continue. "You're the light to my darkness. You feel like a beacon I can always rely on. You shine with a fire I want to burn in."
